One thing you could do for us would be to see if you can find any life beads in that house you're in. We have a feeling that we are going to need as many of those as possible by the end of this.

The thread is long, but catching up is a good idea. There are lots of different things still laying around houses that we never had a chance to pick up. I am pretty sure there is a magic staff (maybe even in your house), there's a teleporter device, and numerous life beads. Enjoy the exploration!

ok wow, just finished reading the thread...kinda wish i had finished earlier coulda helped oh well.

To make a long story short, I'm in the groundskeeper's house, and I got 3 life beads so far. I gave up getting a joke book...so whoever gets in here next, if you can find the box it is yours haha. So far I have yet to meet a ghost.
I got one more place I wanted to search and then I'll go out the door and meet up with you all.

Wow guys, epic FAIL.

Here's my message from Friday:

Quote:
Update: You were not revived. The darkness around you turns to a light mist, and the voice of your father fades away. You rise again, pockets empty, in the middle of town. Thankfully, you realize that your hat is still on your head. You are standing at the well with another traveler and the thin ghost.

Thankfully the PM let me keep my hat...sheesh people... Rolling Eyes

So did anyone get the bucket and the cylinder with the symbols on it off my dead body?

My turn for today:

Quote:
Searching my pockets I realize I've lost all I found. Turning to the thin ghost I ask, "Did anyone take what I found off my body? It's kind of pointless to investigate the well without the scroll and bucket."

Luckily my Saturday turn is going to take 2 days to get responded to lmao... I really need to work out my dance routine.

This is actually the HARDEST thing I've had to in an ARG before lol

Ok so after lifting up the pot on the right, and seeing if my new dog friend needs to eat - which it seems he does not but he does enjoy treats, I have the choice of a life bead or an instruction book. I could use 2 turns and take both but I really want to get on the shovel bucket issue. I am thinking instruction booklet. Oh, and I would imagine that OJ's magic powers are of the healing sort, since he fixed my bites and such.

haha i looked in the oven and found a ghost wanting a cake...

Quote:
You put the life bead in your pocket and walk over to the oven. You open it up and look inside. All around you, you hear a strange noise like someone breathing. Then a voice whispers, "It is not safe to put your head inside an oven."

You sit up with a jerk and bonk your head on the stove. Looking around, you find no one. Then you hear the voice again.

"Bake me a cake as fast as you can. Show me your best recipe. Show The Governor how it looks. Do this for me, and I may give you a surprise."

Luckily I happen to love to bake...and make a lot of cakes for peoples birthdays...so I happily sent along my delicious chocolate cake recipe with a picture of one of my cakes Very Happy

--big fish little fish cake--

I wonder what my surprise shall be...

You run back to the field and, just before the body of the archeologist vanishes, you manage to pull all the items from his pockets. Then the body is gone. You are alone in the field. The town is to the east.

Got your stuff!

I'm going to search the field with my next turn just to make sure we're not leaving anything behind, then I'll run back to town to catch up with everyone else.

Good job! Here's the reply I got yesterday...

Quote:
The thin ghost shakes his head. "What a shame," he says. "Did no one think to laugh at you? Laughter is the best medicine, you know."
He closes his ghostly eyes and hums low to himself. Then he says, "I believe your friend did successfully obtain your items. Let us hope he returns here soon. In the meantime," the ghost goes on, "it looks as though our choreographer here needs a helping hand. The only way to get inside the well is to choreograph a dance to a popular song and teach it to The Governor. If he likes the dance, he will send it to his dancer ghosts and have them perform it in front of the well. Then we will have access.
"However, I believe a skilled archeologist such as yourself should have some other tricks up his sleeve. If you look underneath this well, just at the bottom of the stones," the ghost indicates with his transparent hand, "you will see a mass of insects. Inside that mass of insects is a lever. If you can bring yourself to reach inside and pull the lever, there should be an extra incentive available for our choreographer friend to create the dance we need."
REMINDER: Transition Village will accept turns for Saturday but will not answer until the following Monday.

I will pull the lever tomorrow and see what this extra incentive is. I like that it plays off of the history of my archeologist. The PM for this game gets mad props...

I dunno how the heck the PM thought I was a choregrapher lol.

Street Dancing IS my fortè when it comes to dancing, however using a cell to record and a literally 1ft wide hallway to dance in is making it VERY Difficult for me >.<

You wander the field, searching for other items that may be lying around. There is not much here; it is a barren field filled with dead grass – even some old bones of animals who once grazed the area.

Walking toward the exit, you stumble over a rusted, old trap. It doesn't clamp onto your leg, but it knocks you off balance, and you land with a hard thud on your elbows. You sit up and dust yourself off and take a look at the old trap. It's impossible to take with you, but there is something scratched into the rusted metal:

- .-- --- / -- --- .-. . / .-- . . -.- ...

After looking at this for a moment, you decide to check your pockets to see what items you currently have. You find:

One empty vial with the word APPRAISED on it (now useless), one empty prescription bottle with the initials J.S. on it, one notepad, a child's plastic bucket, and a scroll with a pictogram on it.

The morse code says TWO MORE WEEKS. Damn. I feel like we've just gotten started and I haven't done a damn thing yet.
