edimaru:
Have you noticed that a lot of the WIQ puzzles involve "what's missing"? (that's a hint) Wink

EDIT: oops. sorry. I didn't see your edit.

Q27
...hmmm... they're getting more 'interesting' now, aren't they...

@edimaru

Looks like a set of coloured geometric shapes there with some numbers on them... interesting that the colours seem to reappear on a couple of the letters - perhaps that's meaningful... and maybe the letters are trying to tell you how to use those numbers...

If you need a little more...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Back in school they always seemed to use 'A' to denote .... in terms of geometric shapes, didn't they?

...and if you get stuck again...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Once you've worked out all the numbers you need, did you notice they're all integers, and in fact none of them exceed the number of characters in the string below the shapes...?

... and be warned there's a little twist in the tail...

...

@edimaru - yip, that would be the twist I warned you about...

so here's another clue...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...right, in the first part of the puzzle, when you had numbers, what did you do...? now it seems you have some numbers, so what are you going to do?

Q29
...not so sure...

Hi edimaru... I don't think there are any traps on that puzzle...I think the arrows are trying to say that the first set of clues gives you a 4 letter word and the second (the date) give you a 1-3 letter answer... which fits together to form a word... that gives you Part 1.

Then you're going to need to work out what to do with that word and Part 2...

Q29
...nah, don't think so...

...I noticed that earlier someone had suggested another puzzler look for a rule, perhaps that would tell you what to do with the year...

[I think the image you posted showed the year as 1968, not 1986, BTW.]

I've been struggling with Q49 for a while now and have not been able to get the last part. I got a little bit of reassurance with my solve for the last part, but I have had no luck in keeping the binary the same. No matter what I put in for the last clue, the binary keeps changing. I have tried a few decimal to binary conversions for the final answer, but they have all been wrong.

Anyone want to PM me about what I'm doing wrong? I'd sure like to get past Q50 before the new year.

Q31

Hi edimaru...not certain about the other figures, but the trunk cipher is definitely wrong...from memory the text says that the cipher is scrambled after it is locked back to show 9999... wasn't that part the one about how many people were still alive at that point?

Q49

Q49 was killing me. I just wanted to get through the gate before the end of the year. I'm not spoilering this because, after chatting with other players, I believe the last input of Q49 to be incorrect.

No matter what your solution for x, try x=1.
