Palm - it's interesting visiting all those profiles. Remember, there are 50 items scattered amongst our 250 employees, but only 15 of them will pay out the $bs. Ethics Videos (Task 2.3) are being processed by HR – voting in our Branch will start Monday. All branch winners will be further evaluated by HR and only the very best will be up for Corporate vote. Even if you missed the deadline, you can still earn $200 sb with a video upload (email me for a generic one that meets the criteria).

Mission Statement winner: JillShines. Runners up: Latent_moths, Heatherlynn, LaurenAct513, and konamouse. Meanwhile, our new Branch logo should be available by Monday!

Halloween is just around the corner - Elizabeth will be hosting a party thread in the Corporate Breakroom forum.  		The Halloween Gremlins were in full force on the DMI website this weekend. Tons of outages and broken links.

When you finally get back into our Office (I got in this morning but there were still some weird redirected links) - we have a simple and FUN Task this week: Make a Mix Tape (Road Trip CD) for one of the employees in the Scranton Branch. The instructions are easy (find your song titles & artist and put them on the list). Easy $50sb.

All the Elizabeth forum games are fun and easy way to build your weekly Affinity $bs. We're also voting on the first Employee of the Month.

The Ethics Video (Task 2.3) voting will probably start Monday or Tuesday. If you submitted an original video that followed all the rules and it's not currently on the branch list, email HRSPLATdundermifflininfinity.com to report the outage - you'll get specific instructions on resubmitting it.

 		Just a reminder, Affinity $chrubucks reset is at Midnight Eastern/9p Pacific tonight. If you haven't been to work lately, you can make it quickly - lots of games in the forum or just saving your favorites.

Some of the threads hopping right now: Explain your screen name (who is Latent_Moths anyway), Change 1 letter (4-letter and 5-letter words, or the ultra easy, 1 letter), Trivia, and Task discussion.

This week's Task is pretty easy and everyone is having fun creating a Road Trip Mixed CD list for their favorite character.

Speaking of game threads – we have 10 in our branch that make earning your weekly Affinity $bs fun & easy. News from the Branch Recruitment thread is that Hugo & SmokeythePirateKitty have locked bugdaddy in a crate being shipped to China. Axmilla started some fun game threads in the Corporate Rec Room. Pertyboy2 is working on a Craigslist project, nenaracer was the feature profile on NBC.com this week, and we've started a Secret Santa account on elfster.com.

We love seeing everyone stop by and say "hello". Jump into any conversation and you'll be welcome (probably with extra comments on your profile as well).

 		 Corporate DownSizing!
The first purge of inactive employees has occurred. If you have not been at "work" for over a month, you have been downsized/released from your branch. Your profile still exists but you are not assigned to any branch.

Should you wish to be reinstated, you have to log back in and apply to work at the branch of your choice. Unsure if you are in autohire mode or you are considered transfer status (in which case you better have a good salespitch for the Regional Manager to want to hire you).

For the rest of us, we're having a blast making fun of/with eachother, discussion "The Office", doing the weekly tasks, and enjoying some immense popularity in our Branch Recruitment thread (it has >60,000 views and grows daily, maybe some people think it's like reading a comic strip and they have to get their daily dose of Elizabeth Silliness???).

 		If you watch "The Office" you'll know that Michael Scott has a very warped view of the world.

This week the Task is a Cultural Quiz - and we're suppose to answer how Michael Scott would answer. Which means WHO KNOWS?!?!?!?!

My alterego in another branch only got 11/20. We're not allowed to post answers (not that we can tell what are right and what are wrong anyway) this week. But there is no time limit on this task. So those of us who want maximum $bs ($200 is possible) are going to wait and do this one after correct answers are allowed to be posted (as promised by Human Resources) next week.

Meanwhile, we're voting on our favorite Sales Script (check the forums for screens caps of the best to save time), and waiting to see who's video from the Ethics Tasks makes it to the corporate vote.

You can always earn your weekly Affinity $bs with a quick visit to the forum and posts in the game threads (or just save your favorites 20 times).

If you didn't know, nominations open on Thursday morning, polls open late Friday night and winner posted Monday morning.

Congratulations to Latent_Moths for his wonderful Ryan Howard Retrospective Road Trip Mix (now in the Corporate vote for Task 2.6 this week). Task 2.7 (Sales Script) has 43 great entries in the Branch vote. Check them out (2 ½ pages) and pick the best to represent Elizabeth! We have posted the best of them in the Task 2.7 thread in the branch forum.

This week we recognized Otter_Nation as EOTW – he has returned after a month long road trip and quickly caught up with all the Tasks and been a regular contributor to many of our branch discussions. You can also see him adding funny comments in our Branch Recruitment thread. It's never too late to get caught up and earn those promotions. Almost all the old Tasks in 2.0 can still be completed for the $bs. We even have all the quiz answers in the forum.


Congratulations to LaurenAct513 for her winning design in the remodel of Jim & Pam's home. Runners up will be posted by Corporate later this week.


New game topics this week in the branch forum include: Wrong Lyrics, 2 Truths 1 Lie and Alive Or Dead?


Overall, DMI Elizabeth is hovering between 13-15th place in $chrutebucks/employee. If you haven't been visiting often, you can help improve our average by maxing out the Affinity $bs (100 per week). You can leave comments in profiles, post in the forum (we have many game threads that make this very easy & fun), or just save your profile favorites.


The holidays are coming up and we are expecting a branch-wide task to keep us occupied during the winter reruns. Everyone's input will be needed for a successful submission.

We've started planning in our branch forum – brainstorming on theme ideas and then working on the bits & pieces.

We're looking for creative party concepts that are fun, inclusive, and upbeat (especially given the current economic climate)…. All branch employees should work together to create a single branch submission … Corporate will review all the submissions and choose the Top 10 party ideas for the company to vote on; every branch member whose party idea makes the Top 10 will get a substantial year-end SchruteBuck bonus.

For those of you around for DMI 1.0 this is just like Toby's Goodbye Party. And all active employees will earn $100 if we have a qualified submission.

Do you want one of those horny princess dolls for your desk? If you have done all the 2.0 tasks this year Corporate is going to give you one. What? You didn't do some of the tasks? Come into "work" and catch up! If you need a video for Task 2.3, email me and I'll send you one to upload.

I really wanted to do this (get caught up), got up this morning spent lots of time making my jim and pam room only too not be able to upload it - site not working.

More of the same from last year; I completed all my assignments and then the site would not upload anything. Very frusterating.

I have no trouble with anyone else's websites, so it has to be them.

The advertising can be buggy - there are some nasty banners that use up way too much memory and bog things down. Make sure you submit a small jpg (it likes those best). If you are past the deadline for the tasks, then you don't have to spend a whole heck of a lot of time on them since no one will see them unless they look at the pictures in your profile.
If you try to upload when there are a bunch of other people doing it at the same time, you might find some serious lag (today was the deadline for the Party task so lots of RMs were uploading lots of stuff at the same time).

Last week all of NBC servers went offline - they have been surprised by the overwhelming interest of their audience to use the internet for social networking. DMI is just one of many and they are trying to expand services.

If you get a chance to log in, check out our Party Submission. Now that we're past the deadline, I can share it opening. We went with the Hanukka Party and our theme was Pets Are People Too! We went on a scenic cruise out of Port Elizabeth. We included the DMI Elizabeth pets in our activities, food choices and in the pictures. We found a janitor willing to clean up afterwards. In looking around the profile pictures of the other RMs I didn't see any other Hanukka parties, so our entry should stand out and has a good chance to make Top 10.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Lastly, most of you know that I am being deployed to Iraq (leaving very soon). I expect my telecommuting to "work" will be a bit longer and maybe not as often.
