nice picking up all the items before robbie's body disapeared. who has the shovel? i thought someone left it by the bucket...or am i just imagining things?

anyways...
I am now prancing around in a nice and shiny new steel APRON hahaha I love this game! I swear it is creepy how well the PM's pick us for each ghost...it is like everyone is perfect for the little "project" they are given. I absolutely love to cook...especially sweets.

I wonder what kinda of power I have.

Quote:
With amazing culinary creativity, you produce a fish-shaped cake and hold it up for the invisible ghost to see. You also provide a scrumptious recipe to go with it. Somewhere near you, you hear a tummy growl, and then, little by little, pieces of cake begin to disappear. A smacking, chewing sound come from only inches away from where you are standing. Soon, the entire cake is gone.

"That. Was. Fantastic," the voice says, still smacking a little.

You wait.

"Oh," the invisible ghost says. "A surprise. I nearly forgot. Here you go. Thanks for the cake!"

The voice fades away, and you look down at your own body. You are wearing an apron made of light steel. It is shiny and new, and wearing it makes you feel powerful, though you don't know why yet.

Just got my reply

Quote:
Wandering around the house, you feel an overwhelming need to locate life beads. In fact, you want them so badly that you begin muttering to yourself. You are about to move the nightstand to the side when a little boy's voice comes to you from under the bed.

"Hey there," he says. "Are you looking for life beads?"

You kneel down and see the transparent boy hiding there. He grins.

"I'm usually under one bed or another. Grownups can't find me here, you know?"

You nod. That's a logical reason for hiding under beds.

"But," the ghostly child says, "are you really looking for life beads? Those are scary 'cause you can only use them in the graveyard. I took a bunch of things from a few houses so I could play with them, but I don't want these life beads." He holds out a hand with two life beads in it. They shine in the darkness. "Someone's out getting me my bucket and shovel," he says, "but until then I'm kinda bored. I'll give you these life beads if you can come up with a fun game to play."

The little ghost boy looks at you with bright, hopeful eyes. "What do you say? Teach me a game today, and I'll give you two life beads for it."

So I am back at the well for the moment. And for the record, I was the one who left the toy shovel near the archeologist's body in the field. It should be there.

So if we have two weeks left, we need to get moving. Its now been confirmed that we can only use the life beads in the graveyard, I am guessing to bring back Jan and Earl who are buried there. Peacemaker has three beads, which is enough to bring back one of them. Dirt Diver is about to get two for teaching the ghost a game. So I am going to head towards the graveyard now and see what can be done to prepare for whatever is coming. If those of you with the beads want to come join me, that would be awesome.

Good luck at the well. I hope the dance routine goes well.

You pick up the instruction book and open it up. There is only one page, and it reads:

You close the book and put it in your pocket. Then you consult OJ. As soon as you say, "bucket and shovel," his ears perk up, and his head tilts. Then, slowly, he realizes what you mean, and his little tail wags. He barks and hops over toward the well. You follow him. There, you find three other travelers and a very impatient, thin ghost.

the coded bit eventually becomes:

I've been reading this thread for awhile.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Your magic word is rebirth. I got that from reading it in a vertical format.

Until I get in, I'll try to support you. Carry on!

This is great! We are making really good progress. Uberg has the items that teh_lisa needs, we have three people at the well, a magic word that might come in really useful soon (I'm thinking in the graveyard), and two weeks to save us some ghosts. Let's do it team!

Oh, and on a personal note, Happy Holidays to everyone, both in the village and watching from afar.

I'm just thinking...

You guys sure the 2 weeks doesn't mean... We have a rebirth of the game in 2 weeks, considering this week is Christmas holidays and next week is the New Year celebrations?

Tis a good thought my friend. I figure it has to be one of the two. Either the game will go on hold for two weeks, or we have two weeks to sovle everything. I would think that if the game were taking a break then the Governor might let us know in a less cryptic fashion. Who knows? I'll be ready for anything just in case.

I hope so, otherwise I'm going to miss a lot of turns...

MY turn for today:

Quote:
I clear my throat once or twice, but agree to the ghost's challenge. I reach forward past the insects and take hold of the lever and pull it with all I can.

"At least it's not snakes..." I say to myself as I feel several bugs die under my grip.

TV's Reply from Saturday incase someone missed it (Sorry for not being around yesterday everyone, the holidays are killing me):

Quote:
The thin ghost shakes his head. "What a shame," he says. "Did no one think to laugh at you? Laughter is the best medicine, you know."
He closes his ghostly eyes and hums low to himself. Then he says, "I believe your friend did successfully obtain your items. Let us hope he returns here soon. In the meantime," the ghost goes on, "it looks as though our choreographer here needs a helping hand. The only way to get inside the well is to choreograph a dance to a popular song and teach it to The Governor. If he likes the dance, he will send it to his dancer ghosts and have them perform it in front of the well. Then we will have access.
"However, I believe a skilled archeologist such as yourself should have some other tricks up his sleeve. If you look underneath this well, just at the bottom of the stones," the ghost indicates with his transparent hand, "you will see a mass of insects. Inside that mass of insects is a lever. If you can bring yourself to reach inside and pull the lever, there should be an extra incentive available for our choreographer friend to create the dance we need."

A reply: What is the status of the shovel and bucket?

Quote:
The boy claps his hands. "A new game! Teach me how to play!" You teach the little ghost child, who miraculously has never heard of this game before, how to play Hide and Seek. He's a natural. Being a ghost, he's capable of disappearing and reappearing in very odd places, and it's nearly impossible to catch him. Finally, though, you do find him hiding inside a dresser drawer, and he laughs out loud. "That was a great game! Thank you so much! Here are two life beads, like I promised. I wonder whether my bucket and shovel have been found yet. What do you think?"

You have received two life beads.

TV's reply to my turn for today:

Quote:
Another traveler arrives and asks for a bucket and shovel. The thin ghost tells her, "I fear I will never get the scroll opened. These travelers who promised to help me are now too distracted and won't speak a word."
From off to the east, one of your fellow travelers comes running. He joins you at the well. It looks as though there are a child's bucket and shovel sticking out of his pocket. He has picked up the items you lost.
Just then, you clear your throat and reach into the insect mound beneath the well. It is squishy, and the bugs scuttle across your fingers and each other. You grope around for the lever until you find it, then you pull it with all you can.
It's tough. Clearly this thing hasn't been moved in a long time. But the strength of your tugging finally jerks it forward, and the sound of a stone wall deep below the village slams and echoes.
"Excellent!" the thin ghost cries. You wait. Before long, the traveler who is lost in thought begins to glow. His entire body vibrates with power. Hesor, on his shoulder, looks thrilled.
"There," the ghost says. "This should help our choreographer."
You look puzzled, and the ghost notices. He explains. "That glow is an ancient power from deep within Transition Village. It gives the wearer any one super power he wishes to have. All he needs to do is ask."

Looks like Mr. Sexy-Man owes me big-time since I seem to have gotten him out of his dance. Make your request Leyton!
