I just got an email from mitch.faurbachSPLATclawshunindustries.com:

Haven't entered my phone # yet, was checking in here to see if any had already done it!

EDIT: Haha, a little Xmas wish from Lex Corp, how sweet.

Hm, there's more but I'm not getting the sound file I need. Anyone else have luck with it?

The message isn't an audio file. Watch the web-page as you listen to the call.

This uses the same web-page-synced-with-phone-call technology that was used in the Year Zero ARG page at http://www.freerebelart.net/

It might help to know that the track of the Superman ride used to be red but is currently being painted purple.

Well this is frustrating. I'm not seeing anything happen on the page, and the cell phone recording is asking me to "turn up the sound on your computer and enter the correct 9 digit sequence".

What is supposed to happen? You can put it in a spoiler block.

Very cute. I don't want to spoil the surprise. People should call and look at the website. It only takes a second.

Anyone want to capture or describe it for those of us without a US telephone number (with spoiler tags, of course Wink )

Oh - and Merry Christmas all! Very Happy

Maybe I'm not being clear.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When you enter your phone #, you get a call back almost immediately, the recording says something like "here's a greeting from our leader" and the web page changes to a Christmas tree with kryptonite ornaments that says "Merry Lex-Mas". Then, there is a clickable present at the bottom of the tree (the one with Lex logo on it). If you click that you get another phone call that says "I see you found our little gift" and *that* is when I was prompted to enter the 9 digit number. But nothing happens so I'm not sure what number I'm supposed to enter. It says "a musical puzzle" so I was assuming some kind of sound file was supposed to play.

Now can someone help me?

Here is the sound file that should be playing on your computer from the website.

Wouldn't Jingle Bells be 11 notes/letters?
jingle[1].mp3
Description  What is the 9 digit number?
mp3

 Download
Filename  jingle[1].mp3
Filesize  439.5KB
Downloaded  67 Time(s)

Not solved, but headed in the right direction (I think):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Once prompted to turn up my speakers and enter the 9 digit number on my keypad, I heard nothing- until I attempted to enter numbers on my phone's keypad. I began with a 3 (the first # of Jingle Bells), and suddenly got sound from the comp... it was a portion of Jingle Bells, but not the first portion. I entered another number, got another out-of-order piece of the song. So it looks like we need to find the correct 9 number sequence to play the song from beginning to end(?). Only problem... after a few mistakes, though the line stayed connected and I was able to keep trying numbers, I got no more sound from the comp. So I had to hang up and go through all the motions again. Could be I'm still missing something =/

i know this is probably cheating ( Razz ) but for those that are unable to call (and if it turns out the puzzle is borked, but hopefully it isn't), here's the link to the flash file given at the link above:

http://www.clawshunindustries.com/xmas/clawshun_card.swf

just right click on the flash file and click on play. each time you do that, the image of the flash will change to a different page, in which there is three in total (we've seen two in the correct manner so far)

Well... I guess that means:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They'll be making some changes to the Superman coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure (in New Jersey) as well. Interesting...

Actually, the Medusa coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure is the one currently being redone (it's being painted Blue, which matches the background of the letter page). See the Six Flags Press Release and the pictures of Medusa's new Blue paint job (it used to be lime green). I agree that redoing the Superman ride there would make more sense.

As for the game to unlock the letter:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
After getting the first phone call and seeing the tree, click the small present at the botton that has the LexCorp logo on it and wait a few seconds for a second phone call asking you to play a game.

The puzzle is a musical sorting game. Pressing each key on your phone triggers a different snippet of Jingle Bells on your computer, and if you put them in the correct order, the letter will appear. The correct sequence is:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
4 - 7 - 3 - 1 - 2 - 8 - 9 - 6 - 5

Brilliant, ahecht. Thanks for working that out. That's really cool how the phone call and the web page are linked together like that.
