Hmm. That seems odd that they would launch the keywords RIGHT when the first call went through. Was blip meant to not be activated?

I don't know about your city, but DC is orange terror alert with big signs everywhere saying "Report suspicious activity". I'd say that waiting by a pay phone would constitute shady behavior. It would be hilarious if I were arrested for saying "nervous" or yelling "supid_cop" into the phone Razz

Thats actually a really good point timlee. Everyone going to the Axons should be careful not to draw too much attention, and not shout anything too weird

I'm going to be the first to volunteer and put up a text-compilation to add to my collection - the transcript of the Axon Story... watch my page for it, it'll be up in 10 minutes or so... expect the transcript of jersey up ASAP

Has anyone figured out the "yes or no" stuff? I can't get anything but the 404 error page stuff... Is this stegged? Is it masked as another filetype? Any ideas there?

A new .wav is supposedly available: yes_or_no (i believe that's the name)

However, when I clicked on it, I got a 404 with a webcam pic of Dana...I'll try later.

Be patient, the site is very busy and you may get scripting errors or incorrect 404 errors. The wav file is there.

BTW - I was at the 7:03 axon in Chicago. There were 6 people there including me. The guy who listened/recorded said he couldn't hear much and that he didn't record it for whatever reason. I'm not sure if he knew how to work his iPod. -_- Next time I'm not leaving it to someone else. oh well.

It says elsewhere (don't remember what page, but it's quoted in this thread) that contact will continue each day until successful connection is acheived. I'd say the folks in the first group should set their alarms early again tomorrow.

Remember, if you're having issues hearing the .wavs, or downloading them rather, theBruce has transcripts up at http://www.thebruce.ca/ilovebees/ under The Axon Plot link. Thanks theBruce!

Melissa is the AI's real name. Her nickname is 'Operator'.

Sounds like their system is flexible enough that as long as you get 'Operator' in there, you'll get it. So the user who said 'Operator Jersey' worked because they said 'Operator'.

Could someone who took one of these calls confirm?

Also, even if you see your group has made 2/2, still take the call! The count at the top is total Axons, so the more calls we get, the closer we are to the final total.

In defense of iPod guy. Unless you had a radio shack audio pickup, it's very difficult to "play" and record at the same time. I had a recorder with me, and was unable to get it to record anything and hear at the same time. In retrospect, I should have asked her to "repeat" instead of "continue"

Coordinate change!

Apologies for posting this here if it's the wrong place, but can't start a new topic about it. Smile

I was also at location #3, 6:15am PDT, Manchester, NY -- which was a dud, as there was no payphone.

However, on the links page, the coord has changed to

42.999793 -071.464026

This is for Manchester, NH now.
