Is it worth it to get the Wii microphone?

Is there another audio option available?

I must admit, I am feeling some peripheral fatigue, as it seems that every console has some insane amount of proprietary controllers and accessories.

Yeah, I didn't get Wii Speak - but i AM getting the keyboard. Mouse & I tried to have a "conversation" in game yesterday, far too annoying to point and click every letter.... Wii speak {as of now} is only really good for like 2 games, and eventually it will get a party chatroom type channel. It costs $20 more for the bundle with WiiSpeak. The keyboard {if you get the "official" one} costs about $50, but it is functional for EVERYTHING else where you need to type - well worth the money in my lazy opinion. Very Happy
