well I think I've got the paragraph, but I haven't found a scan of the page it's on for the line . But here's the first part of the paragraph:
Quote:
Every morning was a cheerful invitation to make my life of equal simplicity, and I may say innocence, with Nature herself. I have been as sincere a worshipper of Aurora as the Greeks. I got up early and bathes in the pond; that was a religious exercise, and one of the best things which I did. They say that characters were engraven on the bathing tub of King Tching Thang to this effect: "Renew thyself completely each day; do it again, and again, and forever again."
It goes on, but that should cover the 4th line...

well i checked 2 different online versions of the book and they both gave me this line "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand; instead of a million count half a dozen, and keep your accounts on your thumb-nail."
After counting and recounting I get to the same as well. Simplicity is definitely a major theme of Walden and would go with the "Thoreau was right" bit.

blah. never mind. yeah, just noticed one version has numbered paragraphs.
However, seems you're taking L (line) to mean sentence... THAT leads to "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!" I was going by line 4 which may return different lines depending on the print.

Yeah, since line varies by edition I think we have to go by sentence. So is "simplicity" the password that Cunningham needs then?

Grisly updates at both The Evan Smith Situation and Grand Gaia Industries (also read News section). And this email from GGI:
Quote:
We regret to inform you that Fred Davis, manager of the California division, was reported dead on December the 30th, 2008. Murdered by an unknown, Davis' case remains an open investigation.

Nothing makes sense. Everything is pretty dark. There`s like one bulb on the center of the
ceiling and that's it. My name is Fred Davis. I don't really feel comfortable disclosing my age.
All i can tell you(that is,if somebody reads this)is that i'm in a big room with
almost nothing.
The ... .... are 2 words i can't read. Somebody?
Thanks Natas.

My most recent memory was when my friend,Schnoo, told me i looked like a mess.
I was drunk, now i'm alone, in a room, with no door or window. Hell, i don't even know how much
oxygen i'm getting. I'm sure it can seep throught the corners but still, major clostophobia (sp?)
I'll write later when i stop freaking out.

I feel like whoever set me up in this wants to find out how I function....this is scary to think they ?left? me in here.... with a notebook and water. I quess maybe I'll be let out eventually.

I noticed I've been drinking way too much. I don't know how long I'm going to be here so I might as well conserve my water....Measured the room with my shoes. I was bored.
