"Story Game" Puzzle #1
Creative Puzzles, For a Better Tomorow!

Some time ago, Dan Hon talked about the need for 'creative' puzzles. I have created a "creative" puzzle, in the past. I have also created an ARG where I tested my puzzle. And it failed...badly. However, I blame myself for the ARG failing, and not the puzzle. So it leads me to question if the puzzle may actually work.

So here's how it goes. Your goal is to solve the puzzle. If you succed, you win. If you don't...heh heh...

I'm going to post one puzzle at a time. You'll slowly learn how this puzzle template works and reproduce your own creative puzzle.

Quote:
You and the rest of the unforum community have been barricaded in a building for weeks now. Ever since that zombie virus spread throughout the city, society has grounded to a standstill. Even now, you regretted attending this ARG convention in the middle of nowhere.

Then on the public radio, you have received a news report from the Military. The Military has reported that they have discovered a new anti-zombie revification agent that would revive any person into a zombie! They have placed it into the air, and cured many, many people of the zombie virus. The disaster is over, you thought, so you decided to slowly peer out of the barricades you built...and sure enough, you saw a bunch of newly revived humans scream at you.

These humans loved being zombies, because of the immortality and the friendship within the horde. These humans called for some sort of anti-cure, that would make them turn back into zombies again. These people became to be very agitated, and said that if they do not get an anti-cure, they will begin killing all 'humans' in the vicinity in the hope of finding such an anti-cure.

What do you do?

There we go. First Puzzle. Let see how you solve it.
EDIT: Spelling fixed.
EDIT: Hopefully fixed grammar.

I distract the ex-zombies by teaching them how to ROT-13 and how to use Base64, and then when that makes them REALLY enraged, I steg myself into the background image.

When the Apocalypse comes, it'll be in base64.

Easy, Lex would use his swiss army hat to hack through all of the brain wanters. Problem solved.

Well, zombies don't breathe, but can inhale and exhale normally (it just doesn't supply them any oxygen, since they are dead and their circulatory systems don't work). I'm assuming that the virus (anti-virus, whatever), attaches itself to the lung lining when inhaled, then revivifies the tissue, slowly spreading into the alveoli and out into the circulatory system, restoring life as they go. Eventually the entire circulatory system is functional, which carries the virus to the brain and other organs, reviving the whole system.
Taking that into consideration, there must still be zombies who have not inhaled the virus, or who are still only partially revivified. Those zombies would still carry the original virus, and could therefore still transmit it. I would send out parties to search any nearby bodies of water for submerged zombies. These individuals would have not yet inhaled the cure, and could be used for re-infection.
Once I had secured a living specimen, I would transport it back to the base in a secure manner, usher all those wishing to be re-infected inside, and let the zombie loose in the facility after I had secured it from the outside.
The newly revived humans might object to being locked into a warehouse (or whatever), but at least they would be allowed to be zombies. An alternative to the warehouse might be a barricaded island or some such secure outdoors location. Like the moon.
Meanwhile, the rest of humanity can get back to mating and blowing each other to bits.
