Organelle,

That is great that your dreams lead you to the truth! If you are willing, and it is in compliance with [descriptor omitted], could you lead us to the right direction where you found said letter?

Best of luck with the decoding.

Thaddeus Bless.

Letter to Evalyn
Line Breaks Preserved

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.organelle.org/organelle/blairletter/blairletter.htm

Found at the SF Wave Organ,
12.28.08

Note: There appears to be a typo in the actual letter, where the word [to] appears on page 1 (aka 3): 'more important to you' should probably be 'more important than you'.

Org, great find with the Wave Organ. I never would have thought to put "tidal music" and wave organ together! You said there were a lot of symbols around there huh? You think it might be worth to check out?

The Wave ORGan
(the recent find)

I believe it is useful to examine the site in detail. Although I surveyed it from multiple vantages, and with multiple mindsets, it is possible that I overlooked something... in fact, it appears that this is our most common problem...

we overStand, when we could be underStHanding...

I feel certain there is a way to -see- the letter which turns it into some kind of map...the problem is my intellect, and my gender. Like many males, I am too caught up in the deTails to see the wHole... I have thus enlisted the aid of certain members of our recondite family in whom I place my hope and trust.

Pax,

org

P.S. My search was careful enough that I located a -second cache- however it (superficially) appeared unrelated ... in this I may have been mistaken. Under no circumstances should the second cache be removed from the site.

Re: The Login Page at Jejune
(appearance of misfunction?)

If I have the chance, I will check out the wave organ soon, and I will examine the second cache, and I will make sure not to remove it.

Real quick, the unmason's brick I took from the St. Jude shrine, I'm thinking I should replace it so others may find it... I'll let you know if I do.

In any case, if you are interested, I would be happy to examine a photocopy of the letter, if you think it is allowed.

Best of luck

Strange phone calls

So, I'm not even sure that this is related - but since this is the only ARG I'm playing that has my phone#...

About 11:30pm(MST) last night I get a call from a blocked number - this isn't the first one.

Anyway - last night was the first where I didn't just get hung up on, or hear some random unidentifiable noise in the background - there was actually some girl, asking who I was, and a bunch of random questions.

I'm more just curious if anyone else has gotten these, whether it's game related, or if I'm just getting pranked.

P.S. Had I not been woken up, I might've thought to inquire if it was Eva, but unfortunately I was still asleep, when she called both times.

Hey Wulf,

I have not been receiving any live phonecalls recently. I did get one from Octavio saying how I am "on my own" because I followed the induction card. Sorry, but I think you are getting pranked.

Maybe you have a secret admirer? Wink

Heh - my wife will love that one. At first I figured they were just wrong numbers, but they seem to be calling pretty frequently now. I got one during a meeting today, it sounded like the same girl (very recognizable voice), but claimed to be someone different, looking for her friend Vanessa - but offered to keep talking to me if I wanted.

I dunno - very confusing, but apparently not related so far as I can tell.

Chinese Flyer .. in Japanese!

This was from a way back, but the Chinese flier we received - after sending it to my brother who's fluent in Cantonese.

Anyway, he returned with a reply that said it was Japanese! I of course argued with him, so he dug back into it. But came back with the same reply. He said "Chinese is Chinese, (for the most part) - but this isn't Chinese".

He's now forwarding it on to a few friends of his that speak Japanese and will let me know.

As much as I hate to admit it - living in the Mormon capital of the world sometimes has it's advantages.. lol

The number on the fence sign

Hey,

Does anybody remember the sign that was on the fence next to the two lock boxes? (from the first task, the one that has the Sun Yat Sen papers in it) If so, has anyone got a picture of it, and has anyone called the number?

Monotony and I have joined the fray!
Inducted and now looking for clues

Hey folks,
Monotony and I have been inducted and we're looking for new clues to follow.

My personal feeling is there's got to be something for us to find up at Coit Tower. Monotony and I tried to get there yesterday afternoon, but traffic made it nigh impossible, so we bailed. I'd read in here that at least one other person had checked it out a while ago and found nothing. Any more news about folks looking for it?

Also, I was poking around on Google and found a great number of items that haven't been mentioned either here or on the wiki, from what I can tell. The Savants myspace page, for one.

I'll do what I can to add to the Wiki, but I'd like to request others do as well, as it is already starting to go out of date (it still says the EPWA website is broken, for instance).

Cheers,
-Tony

Yeah, I've been REAL bad at updating the wiki, sorry Raspberry I actually do have a flickr account for all of the cards posted on 3ls3wh3r3

Flickr Stream

Oh and Monotony, I'm glad you found my sign Wink

If you guys want your own signs, and various other EPWA goods, make sure to buy an EPWA "black box" under &_support Very Happy

 DISAPOINTED!!!
Emptyhanded trip to Coit

Picture Kevin Klein in A Fish Called Wanda, looking dejectedly into the empty safe.

That's how I felt after a fruitless trip to Coit Tower that Monotony and I took today.

After reading Kelvin's blog so very carefully, I noted that the arrest report had a pretty specific location where the arrest of Eva took place.

"Stairwell Above Greenwich Below Coit Tower" it said. When I read that to myself, I thought, "why would they state such a specific location if the didn't want us to go there". That, and the fact that it didn't seem like anyone had satisfactorily checked Coit Tower out plus all the references to Coit so far, just seemed like a great way to spend an afternoon. If we didn't find anything at the very least we'd have spent some time in one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

Well, we didn't find anything. We checked out the staircases on both sides of Telegraph Hill above Greenwich St. The street would bisect east and west about halfway down Telegraph Hill. On the East side there is quite a long stairway with some very interesting things to see (a garden with a bench near a lounging tiger, mosaic capped manholes, and a parking meeter in the middle of a small patch of bamboo), and about a million bricks. The Staircase on the west side is a good deal shorter, but still contains more bricks than you can sneeze at. I looked at every surface, and so many bricks you can't imagine, but found not a single sign of Eva, the EPWA, or Jejune Institute influence anywhere.

We also went up to the top and looked around the Columbus Statue and around the Tower itself. I saw many places I would put things if I were the PM, but not a single legitimate item from the real folks.

I'm sure something will be there eventually, but I'm awfully disappointed I didn't find anything now.

Oh, and CaptKing, thanks for taking the time to put up those cards. Mighty helpful, they are.
