 		Catchy Tune. Chiptunes could give some weight to the space shooter idea I suppose, but usually those get your heart racing with fast kickin frantic beats. This is rather chill, and calming. Perhaps what you would see on a credits screen?

The title "Descent" makes me hopeful for a new game in the series of the same name (Who's trademark was just refiled last year http://tarr.uspto.gov/tarr?regser=serial&entry=77358976)

In addition to that, the music sounds somewhat similar to a track from one of the games, but I'll have to dig around to find the exact file (and if it matches at all...)

Oh well, gives me some hope even if I'm just getting my hopes up at this literal interpretation...

 		Putting just about anything after the .com will take you to that login. That would be the admin login for the site which I would say we weren't meant to get into. Not sure exactly why they put the user/pass stuff in there yet, but the pass is all asterisks like it has been hidden anyway.

Hmmm... It has been registered since 2006 and does use the tagline. Homepage doesn't go to CommanderVideo.com, but rather Gaijin Games, who happen to have a founder who goes by CommanderVideo:

I'm conflicted. It's an odd choice with the tagline and name used in posts. Part of me wants to believe that it's connected, as they say their game would be out this spring (which fits the 2009 date that was thrown out). But on the other hand, maybe they're just trying to draw attention to themselves. Confused

EDIT: On second thought I think these guys are connected. Whois matches!

While the Whois findings are probably irrelevant (the address given is actually just standardly used when website creators don't want to give their real address,) the first guy in the Team Bios section... well, see for yourself:

I was contemplating contacting him myself, and use my video game site as an excuse to get new info... Didn't see an email address though. The dude has worked on many games though.

 		Well guys, I contacted him on Xbox Live, and he was pretty surprised I knew who he was. He asked how I found out, and I told him. The way he sounded we didn't really do it the way he intended XD. Anyway, on to the juicy stuff:

He confirmed that it is a Wii game that they are working on.
He told me, "There is more in the video than has currently been discovered."

Now we're getting somewhere, although I would not recommend bugging him. If he gets 500 messages a day bugging him about this, he'll probably be less motivated, since it kind of takes out the mystery. Very Happy

EDIT: I went ahead and contacted him and made sure to mention my video game site, and I got an email address to contact him at. Not going to post that as I doubt that would be smart. I'll keep you guys posted on what I hear.

I got a kick out of the other 2 messages he sent:

"...But how one does that, you'll have to figure out on your own."

Good point. Also, I took the asterisks on the password to simply mean it was a repeat of the UN. They begin and end the same - and a lot of times people will use a simple method like that to indicate it's the same as what's above while writing.

But then again, why not cut & paste? Dunno

 		In the comments on Vimeo, some one who has been trying to figure this out just posted a link to another picture on imageshack.

Also, I forgot to mention he said the site would be updated on Monday. Very Happy

And I don't know if anyone pointed this out or not, but in the video the screen is a projector, since the picture goes over the blanket. That video creeps me out. Shocked

I don't think it's a projector. I think the fabric used is just very thin.

Also, someone over at IGN says that the box on the video says "I am only a man" faintly after the dudes get attacked, and comparing the proportions of both the screen and this: http://commandervideo.com/images/COMMANDERVIDEO.jpg tells us that the screen is really the face of our fellow CV, and he/it just wants to speak to us.

I don't think we need to worry about Chev Arnold, I'm pretty sure he (she?) is just trying to figure this out too. However, Exe, who posted the link to another image, we should keep track of. Also, where is everybody getting cryptozoology from?

And the box being The Commander could make sense, because towards the beginning you can see a shovel, which would mean that he is partly submerged. Also, what is the guy doing when it first turns on? It looks like he's brushing something...
