I'm starting to think that only some people are going to be able to download the sound files. Dorkmaster had trouble with Yes or No, and now I'm having trouble with Our Hoodlums. I just get a 404. It seems like it should timeout if it's the server getting bogged down. Strange.

I don't think it's "eden" in the Our_hoodlums clip.

I think it's Aiden, like the name of the clip way down the list.

Are you counting all three of yes_or_no or just the 2/2 required to make it downloadable, count the ones in the boxes not the totals out of 2.

We really REALLY need people who attended one of the currently 'CONNECTED' Hot Axons to report an exact transcript of the call and their responses. There's too much conjecture flying around and I don't think the correct answers are any clearer now than they were at 6:00am this morning. At this point, I still feel like it would be a crap shoot for me to take the call at 17:27.

Oh, and IMHO 777 isn't a literal goal really. If I recall some information from my "church going" days, 777 is a figurative number that symbolizes completeness. Much like 666 is a figurative number that symbolizes inequity.

Jegger's right...I got the first two no problems, but I can't get our_hoodlums for the life of me. Someone will have to set up a repository (as if we didn't all know that).

Apparently the phones in Philly never rang - about 20 people had them staked out, and wouldn't let anyone on them. So maybe not all the locations are getting calls?

Perhaps the folks who set up the locations should have checked to see if the phones accepted incoming calls......

Digital Cowboy, I'm with you: We need a transcript of all that was said for ALL of the "hot" axons. Also, it's good to know if something was different for the "dead" axons that haven't lit up, so we know what we should be researching for those locations!!!

And to Brad, I've been downloading each successful wav file, and when things cool down a bit (most likely not til tomorrow) I'll post them all up here somewhere...

If at all possible, let's try and find a concrete pattern quickly. I'm gonna be leaving for the 11:05 phone in about 30 minutes, so time is a factor.

yep i missed that one. make more sense now.

Well our_hoodlums sounds like a dinner engagement, between 2 friends. But what strikes me as odd is the winding noise at the beginning.

our_hoodlums.wav

Can someone with reasonable audio software (i.e. not me) take a look at the first second or so of the our_hoodlums.wav file, where it sounds like a tape being fastforwarded or something. It's possible that there might be something hidden in there. Try slowing it down, try reversing it, that sort of thing. Good luck!

--Malrog is liking the way this is panning out.

Ever think of....

Why not try dialing *69 after you get the call? if it gives you the number of who called, be sure to write it down.
