I've got a far fetched idea... Mabye this is advertising the next game in the Hoopz Barkley Saga... if you don't know what that is, I don't blame you. It's a little farfetched... but...

In the credits, under special thanks, it mentions "Tale of Game's"
I dont know any Tale of Game's, but I know about Tales of Game's. http://www.talesofgames.com/

Play Charles Barkley Shut Up And Jam Gaiden. It's amazing. I believe that This Is My Milwaukee is advertising for a sequal or spinoff of sorts.

In the promo video, there is an african american boy with a basketball (hoopz?). During the "teens" segment's simulation, the leader of the "party" is wearing a baseball cap (as hoopz did in shut up and jam gaiden). Hoopz even used guns for his weapons. A flare gun would be easy to use for him! Shut Up And Jam Gaiden had lots of random basketball stuff thrown in for the hell of it, and the fax overlays leading us to a basketball court makes even more links. It is likely that this takes place around the same era as SUAJG, as it has a general post-apocalypticness to it. Cyberpunk etc. It could be that after the climactic battle at the end of SUAJG, Hoopz moved to Milwaukee (possibly because of it's constant advertising of how it was "getting better"). Tales of Game's is at least likely to be making the game TIMM is advertising. If you just play SUAJG, you'll notice more similarities. The scenarios seem to be compatible... and seem to be almost equally ridiculous. Ah... and one more thing. What seals the deal for me in terms of Tales of Game's involvement is that SUAJG was RIDDLED with Wild Arms references... and in the "next time on blackstar no blackstar", there is music from Wild Arms.

I'm just making speculation, but I've got to say... IT WOULD BE SWEET.

In any case, go play Barkley while you're waiting for that timer to tick down!

in any case, go read the history of this ARG. lol...

News crews = news stations? Sure, we have a few. Any reason?

I meant more in the game. I was just surprised that no one asked that in the phone dialogues yet, or that the MTC didn't mention it since they supposedly have TV (Blackstar no Blackstar). I just thought if it was brought up that it'd add more info or another vantage point.

Ah, one more thing! Sorry for the double post but I just remembered something I looked up.

Apparently Milwaukee was founded by 3 men (Solomon Juneau, Byron Kilbourn, and George H. Walker) and it was comprised of 3 separate towns (Juneautown, Kilbourntown, and Walker's Point). Do you think that might have something to do with the whole "walk in groups of three" thing? If not, there's a random fact to know!

Question

Alright, I was bored today and I was thinking (hard to believe I know): what would happen if some of us were to tell Lipps about the rebel faction and that Mars is in on it? Could it help the game - would it hurt? If some of us were hired as Blackstar employees, are we instantly in as a rebel? I'm tempted to tell Lipps, and possibly just play a rat in game (who doesn't like to be the bad guy?) but I wanted to get some feedback.

This whole game focuses on Blackstar in someway - but other than a few, we don't have inside knowledge.

I'm going to think outloud:
If we're all supposed to be rebels and help Mars and the MTC contributors, how do we know that the proposed drop on the 16th isn't a trap by Blackstar?

If some of us were to defect to Blackstar, how would we keep up in the game - different forums, specific emails, another website (not unlike TIMM.com)? If the latter, what might be some possible sites: BlackstarActiveAmerica.com doesn't work.

Would the game explode and fall into itself if someone were to defect, or would that player (i.e. - me) be exiled?

Again, I won't do it yet, but what do you all think?

I propose that the entire ARg is a setup to promote this shirt! http://www.threadless.com/product/1116/When_Dinosaurs_Ruled_The_Earth

Kidding! lol But when I saw the shirt I automatically thought of the TIMM handbook. In fact, I see TIMM puzzles and references in just about everything now. It's a sickness.....

This Is My Milwaukee
WTF

Hey sorry to disappoint, but I'm not an Arizona cheerleader. I do live in Wisconsin though.

Somewhere it was mentioned this might be an ARG for a new Miller product......Black Star beer already exists (existed?) and was a Miller product.

I had joked that it could be a miller branded absinthe because some of the ingredients have been mentioned and miller is based in milwuakee, but I wasn't serious about it. However, it's interesting that they had a product called Black Star. I guess you can't really count anything out.

I'd have an easier time believing this if Black Star Beer's special ingredient was that they substitute beer with vermouth. (Vermouth~!)

I've heard of Black Label beer, that was from milwaukee... I used to buy it all the time in college in the Twin Cities since you could get a case for like 12$, but its kind of hard to find in milwaukee for some reason.

Never seen Black Star tho

Flipdagger, I thought about Black Label, too. That's a Pabst product, if I remember correctly....or it's made by whoever owns Pabst now! Black Star is/was a malt beverage.
