"Sapelle Mahogany" -- The elevator that took me up to the induction center had a plaque that read "Redwood Burl" next to the absolutely critical elevator TV (Nyquil: for a better tomorrow). Perhaps another elevator has some delicious "Sapelle Mahogany" for walls and that's one that goes to the tippy-top. Expose yourself to the entire loop of commercials and gain intelligence.

Also, watch out for Yams Moongood. There have been references to a "Mr. Yams Moongood" early on but the Yams that presided over my induction was definitely female. S/he's a gendershifter. Jejune technology is impressive and scary! Gendershifting: fun at parties! Fool your friends!

Does anyone know if the induction center is going to be open now that it's the new year? I thought I saw a reference that Dec 31 was the last day. I would like to direct more people to it ... I'm kind of getting the feeling that things were supposed to move a little faster. I think we can safely blame the economy for this and also everything else.

In Esperanto
the cards are there, too

Hi briareosH,
I found that, too. It is the text from the beginning of 3ls3wh343 and from several EPWA items, all in Esperanto.

If you search through it all, I believe the cards are there as well, plus some other familiar items. Thanks for posting the link. I had lost it before really digging in.

Esperanto. The language of love.

BriareosH, Capt King already posted the English translation of that at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=576313#576313.

That's what I get for covering more than one topic in my message -- I have no idea why you pointed to that.

Will that be this post's question? Or was the previous sentence the question? Rats, that's two questions.

Six Floors Below

I'm a recent initiate but am only midway in my Quest. I've read the thread (cool) and think maybe there's a clue overlooked so far? The opening of the initiation video says that the induction room "is exactly six floors below" the JI global HQ. I saw talk about "Room 2400" of the building, which is the roof as the building is 23 stories tall, but what about Room 2207, six stories above? Anyone been there? (Or is that something that lies ahead for me on my Quest)

I just had a strange thought - and since I once again am suffering from a lack of sleep, this probably won't even make sense.

Did anyone take into account that the 13th floor isn't counted? Technically, that doesn't add any more floors to the building obviously (it's just skipped), but using that same kinda fuzzy logic...

Wait nm. My brain just caught up to my fingers typing this..

Too Quiet
but I got a package!

Things are too quiet,
Especially with folks mysteriously removing comments.\

But I got two things of interest. In response to questions about EVA to the EPWA I got the following:

And, I also received in the mail my Black Box!! I was skeptical at the price, but given all the stuff that's in it, I'm quite pleased! (even got an extra item not mentioned on the main sheet!)

Wave.

I went to the wave organ. I saw many markings on many things, but then there was one mark above a feature that was clearly It. But there was nothing there. I pretty much scoured the place, found the other thing Organelle alluded to and left it in situ. There was also a tube that had some phone wire coming out of it -- I pulled on it, but it wouldn't budge -- the tube had some marked obstructions blocking it, but I don't think that's where the letter was supposed to be. This was today around 4:00pm. I only mention this because Organelle's description gives me the impression that there may be more to the letter than just words, and I'd like to see it.

New post on http:rememberingeva.wordpress.com

All about the myspace entries for the Savants and Beth, et. al.

I went to look and found nothing really new, unless I'm missing something.

Except for rediscovering how weird the residents are... and noticing that there's a splash page from Love and Rockets posted to the Savants' page.

I suppose I could start messaging folks on myspace. Confused

Well, looking around I was able to find some important myspace pages:

The Savants
Beth (I think)
Nonchalance (Though they have not logged in since 10/28/08)
Tawny (I beleive that is a character, not sure)
Erik Jamuel (Yeah.... that's an important one)
St. Jude

So, it's a start. Let's see where we can go from there.

Grasping at ???

Took another stab at a potential site today, and came up empty handed again (but I'm enjoying it a lot more than I am letting on).

There was a picture of some graphitti by Eva at Psycho City on the Savants myspace page. Psycho City is a large walled area that for years held some great tags and marks and sprays by folks who travelled the world over for this free wall. I thought, maybe, there would be something there, but the place is clean. Not a hobo symbol to be found.

What I did find that was cool is that the place has been painted over so many times that the wals are cracking and peelinig, and in places the paint chips have grown to be more than an eighth of an inch thick. You can crack a piece off and see all those years of graphitti sitting right in the palm of your hand.

Anyway, there's nothing going on at Psycho City or for several blocks around (for those wondering where it is, it is near Van Ness and Market beneath the Civic Center Hotel).

JTony, you have found exactly what this "game" is trying to do...

I see now why Organelle refuses to call this a "game" It is way more than that. Really, I've learned so much about San Fran and the culture behind it, it's amazing!

Though there is mystery, and though there is a fictional story, finding out about the history and culture of SF has really changed my perspective!

If anyone is wondering why I am so involved in this experience, that is the reason right there.

Now, to the topic at hand: I think that wall might be a place to study, or it could just be a cool backdrop. We might want to keep an eye on it.

The Letter & Beyond

When you begin to see beyond the simple frames that we are taught to apply, you will clearly realize that what has been going on all along has absolutely nothing to do with games. What you call a 'fiction' is actually a -function-.

To those who are spun by the cogs of fate, every frame will seem a fiction.

As regards the letter, I am now certain that Blair encoded something in it which was meant for Eva specifically. He knew there was a possibility that it would be intercepted. He did something that Eva would understand immediately, but which would present a serious challenge to anyone else, particularly those who were unchalant. It probably has to do with Algorithm.

Also, since I acquired this, there have been problems. Someone may be trying to acquire the letter. I have been pursued on a number of occasions. I am far more streetwise than my pursuers, thus far. Here's hoping it stays that way.

lux et aqua,

org

Too much caution
spoils the task

Organelle,

I am concerned that you have not yet chosen to share the actual image of the letter Eva's father sent to her.

You have stated that it contains more information than presented in the text you've shown, possibly representing some sort of map, but definitely showing information that Eva's Father might be important or helpful to her.

Unfortunately Eva is not here to collect the information, and it is up to us to help her. We cannot do that if we don't have the information. I realize that there may be others looking to capitalize on the information... others who might not wish Eva the best. But the only way we can help is to share the information.

So please, present us with the image of the letter so that we can help you, and more importantly help Eva.
