Bensenville, IL location

Dorkmaster Have you scouted the Bensenville location yet? I don't think i can make it tonight but I work in the area and will check for a phone at lunch if you haven't been there yet.

Can someone with reasonable audio software (i.e. not me) take a look at the first second or so of the our_hoodlums.wav file, where it sounds like a tape being fastforwarded or something. It's possible that there might be something hidden in there. Try slowing it down, try reversing it, that sort of thing. Good luck!

Yeah, I did that. Didn't hear anything, even if you slow it down a TON it's still just garbled. Reversing didn't do anything either.

It's just a standard 'rewinding sound' . We know we're unlocking Melissa's memories, so it's simply a sound to rewind the memory and play it to us. I doubt there's anything hidden in it.

[SPEC] I'm assuming the audio sequence that played on the phone call would have been the .wav file posted on the site. So, if we don't get 2/2, then a recording of the call will provide the missing "story bit"

What to say:

Just to be sure, if asked for her name/nickname, I would say both Melissa and Operator.

I only said Melissa, and she asked for her nickname.
She never asked for a password or my name.

i think i have it... or not

It seems to me, from the info that we know, that all of these .wav files that should be opening up, go in some sort of order. I think they are all one long story, they are just mixed up. Once we have them all "unlocked" then we will know the entire story. For instance, in jersey, they talk about beer. One of the .wavs to be opened is named beer. They mention Aiden in our_hudloom, and one is entitled hi_aiden. It sounds reasonable to me.

Re: [INFO/SPEC] Ok, why are we blowing so many axons?

OK, why are we blowing so many of these axons?!? I understand that at least one had changed prior to the people going out, so that's understandable, and we know that some are not manned, but seriously, there's people who I KNOW checked in here to see what's going on, and still didn't get their axon connected... why?

I know in the case of the two Kissimmee locations, there was no phone call. It's possible that they were intending a phone we couldn't hear (major highway, most of the phones had tinny ringers), but I had my GPS with me.

I suspect we were not unique in that.

11/777

9 hot

i think an axon goes hot when someone says the right thing, and maybe the 11 is for people who answered. so 2 locations answered, but said the wrong thing. mine (@6:59am PDT) was one of them.

so we have 777 chances to answer correctly?

We're going to lose pqi at this rate. we should've set up a better network to cover these spots. Too bad most of the theories were speculation till now.

I'll be answering the 13:23 PDT call (if there is one) in Raleigh, North Carolina. If anything of interest happens, I'll post it here.

Same thing when I pickup at the Axon

Johnny, I did the same thing when I picked up at the Axon, I said melissa twice but nothing happened and then near the end of the space to say her nickname i said operater. Though I am not sure if it registered or not.

This was the 8:59am spot in San Francisco.

If I haven't mentioned it in this thread yet, my site is working fully again, so the accurate transcripts are back up to date.

777 Total

I apologize now if this seems spammy and trout-smelling, but I need to get it off my chest like, now.

The */2 on the links page only indicated whether or not a file is unlocked and does not indicate whether or not more than three axons are hot for a specific file.

11/777 means 11 axons are hot - count them. Every place that says "CONNECTED
AXON HOT"
Probably means that the axon is hot.

I feel better now.

Okay, so something more on topic: Should we still bring video cameras and digital cameras? I charged mine last night and I'm wondering if it will be more of a hinderence than a benefit.
