Re: our_hoodlums.wav

Can someone with reasonable audio software (i.e. not me) take a look at the first second or so of the our_hoodlums.wav file, where it sounds like a tape being fastforwarded or something. It's possible that there might be something hidden in there. Try slowing it down, try reversing it, that sort of thing. Good luck!

--Malrog is liking the way this is panning out.

PS: Parasites.wav is up now, and it has a similar "Tape sound" at the beginning, so might be worth checking that too.

I think that the tape sound means that you have to listen to those clips in a different order (like in Memento, everything unfolds in 10-minute clips in reverse chronological order).

A transcript of Parasites:

Quote:

1: Hello, hello, are you there?
2: What the hell happened?
1: I don't know, the connection went dead for a few seconds.
2: I have a situation here, she's gone.
1: You let her escape?
2: It happened so fast, I didn't know what to do!
1: Where'd she go?
2: The bathroom.
1: Copy that. What did she say when she left?
2: I don't know. As soon as I started talking about the intestinal parasites, Boom! Gone!
1: I don;t get it. That should have worked. It's right here in the book. Chapter 3: Share Your Interests.

This is probably more rampant than speculation, but this sounds like a plant or spy discussing strategy with his/its handler. Neither has much experience with everyday human interaction.

A Covenant spy?

an additional note:
The audio sequence that played for hey_soldier sounded like a battle sequence or some emergency situation with "soldiers" shouting commands.
and then the bit at the end with the "hey soldier..."

i think i have it... or not

It seems to me, from the info that we know, that all of these .wav files that should be opening up, go in some sort of order. I think they are all one long story, they are just mixed up. Once we have them all "unlocked" then we will know the entire story. For instance, in jersey, they talk about beer. One of the .wavs to be opened is named beer. They mention Aiden in our_hudloom, and one is entitled hi_aiden. It sounds reasonable to me.

Sound Files

I took a look at the sound files the server would feed me. Sped them up, slowed down, forwards, backwards, everything I could think of. There is nothing in that opening winding sound. They ARE different though, it is not a standard sound. Some are faster and shorter than others.

Plus, it is defintily only giving me 3 files. It looks like the 3 per IP is in effect. Could someone host the all the files as they go up? Is there room on the WIKI, or maybe just PM me if you get some that have interesting sounds.

Resist tempation to just listen and Conserve your downloads! If don't go getting a file if it has been transcribed already! We'll need people towards the end of the day to get the last files.

Digital Cowboy, I'm with you: We need a transcript of all that was said for ALL of the "hot" axons. Also, it's good to know if something was different for the "dead" axons that haven't lit up, so we know what we should be researching for those locations!!!

And to Brad, I've been downloading each successful wav file, and when things cool down a bit (most likely not til tomorrow) I'll post them all up here somewhere...

To all who get a 404...

Try removing the transmit bit from the html link so you only have:
http://ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav

instead of
http://transmit.ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav

'pqi' is up. It seems to be set before 'yes_or_no'. New character: 'Janisary James'.

I've had more than three. Make sure you are entering the correct address for the wav - IE, the pqi one is actually PQI (capitals) in the address, and parasites has a capital P.

note

if you go here:

http://ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav

and replace pqi.wav with the other location names, you get the audio files...

I still say its a Lie Detector test....
Proof:

Asks for YES or NO questions

Talks about a baseline

the 2 different TONES denote true or False answers

and it sounds like a police person... asking a suspect about stuff...

MP=military police?

Also, whats with the Ditzy girl impression when she talks about the shoplifting?

Actually guys, the files aren't "down", Just delete transmit. from the link location and it plays fine. For example...Instead of http://transmit.ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav Just put http://ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav. It works every time for me.

[SPEC] So, will we get new coordinates after the last Axon time or will other avenues be pursued? (i.e. cell phones, etc.)
