Or a better option. Don't read the spoilers if you don't like spoilers. Ta-Da!!!!

And just think, if you had actually read the posts, all you would have had to do was make an account and ask for anything you found to be deleted and it would have been.

I will only keep information on the most current two pages if it is relevent to solving the puzzle. so if the forum is active, my hints/nudges will disappear quickly.

Ok, seriously, why do you think Puzz would care and how would it ruin anything for SW. The people that are looking at most of these boards have already purchased the puzzle and are looking to get help. It's not like you open the puzzle and PUZZ shows up at your house with a gold coin, it's only the beginning.

Look at it another way. An average user gets the puzzle as a gift. Sits down to play with it and after a day/week/month gets no where so they give up. Now the next puzzle comes out, chances are that person is not going to buy it because the previous experience wasn't that good for the cost, so SW loses a customer for other puzzles. Now that same person gets a hint or even a full solution to the puzzle. They find out that they were very close. Now a new puzzle comes out, the person may be more inclined to try again with the knowledge they almost had it the last time. Why do you think they supply the answers to most puzzles (Crosswords, Sudoku, etc) at the end of the book? The spoilers/answers are there for the user to decide how much help they want. It's becuase of the boards I found the missing clue for the ISIS that helped me solve the puzzle. After paying as much as I did, the last thing I would have ever done to it is what was required. So, I got a hint, solved the puzzle and then bought the RAMISIS, so how did SW lose out on that? The worst you could say is that I ruined the experience for myself, but I feel I got my money's worth.

Just so you know, I'm not in favor of just posting the solution to the puzzle!

For the record, I personally have talked to and received hints from more than one person for different reasons.
1. the person that solved it because I was pretty sure they wouldn't give me much, just a nudge, and I knew it would be good if not always useful information, because they knew the answer.
2. the person that hadn't solved it because they could not tell me the answer and therefore the advice may or may not be accurate but it least it may be something I haven't thought about or at least get me thinking in a different way.

And with the information I have received, I have not solved the puzzle, but it has kept me from putting it back in the box and because of that there's a good chance I'll get the next puzzle (Well, acually more than a good chance).

just my 2 cents....

Walther

Well put my friend. without the 11th clue, i too never would have done the unspeakable with my puzzle ball. i never saw the 11th clue on the SW forum. it had eluded me. but it was posted here where it was easy to find.

besides, the best part of any puzzle, is doing it again and again. i dont think theres a month that goes by that i dont open the Isis I once or twice. Eventually, the Ramisis and Nemisis and those that follow will be the same way.
