I agree that it sounds like a lie detector test.

With the tape sounds this definitely sounds like Melissa is playing back what she's recorded. I'm guessing that these might be people she spied on. Wish I could tell if it was her in the jersey wav, but it seems hard to spec on now.

So she thinks she's reporting in to her crew? Something in here pertaining to the "truth" ? Odd that these don't sound much like Covenant transmissions...

Actually guys, the files aren't "down", Just delete transmit. from the link location and it plays fine. For example...Instead of http://transmit.ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav Just put http://ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav. It works every time for me.

It doesn't work for me with durga.wav. Still get the 404 even with only ilovebees.com. Odd.

I'm agreeing with scazza now and think it's supposed to be some sort of lie detector. It just isn't realistic is all. Razz

Girl: A pop quiz? Yeah.
Man: Why?
Girl: School stuff.
Man:Eh.
Girl: And once this old hag at the xstep said I shoplifted this mood glass which I actually just forgot about, but they made me take this stupid quiz anyway.
Man: Put your hand on this plate and look at the light. What's your name?
Girl: Jan James.
Man: Jan short for anything?
Girl: Janissary.
Man: Janissary. Interesting. You gonna be in trouble for this, Jan?
Girl: Yeah.
Man: Mom?
Girl: Dad.
Man: That's a nice baseline. How old are you, Jan?
Girl: 17. (True)
Man: So what were you doing up there?
Girl: I told the MP's I was lost.(False)

[SPEC] So, will we get new coordinates after the last Axon time or will other avenues be pursued? (i.e. cell phones, etc.)

Darn good question. Our hit ratio per axon is pretty low but we're hitting near 50% on the wav files so far. Wonder what the PMs were expecting, and how much they expect in the future.

Wonder how many people would be willing to do this again next tuesday ...

(note - i certainly don't mean this as a negative comment to people who went out today ... quite the opposite, big hurrah for those guys)

I'm surprised no one has noticed this yet, but the male in 'our hoodlums' sounds impossibly similar to Jersey. Either it's the same voice actor (unlikely they would do something so elaborate just to fudge it up here), or it's the same character. Any takers?

You don't need to capitalise the U just the D.

For those having problems, the coordination thread had this link http://ilovebees.brejningelev.dk/

People are uploading the wav files and transcripts. I took a look at the sounds each one starts with and found nothing. Forwards, backwards, fast, slow - didn't matter. Just mechanical noise. They ARE different though. Each file has a distinct start, and sometimes stop sound.

Towards the end of the day (6ish PST) I'll upload to the above site a compilation of what I can piece together. So maybe around noon or 1 we can start talking about the order they go in so we can find the story.

wow, this Durga is exciting...

Jan Jamison, father james.....

hes got fake credientials...

this sounds like the queen or something, talking to someone who is some sort of computer... it has access to some sort of database.. a live one... and she can "do better then that" refering to getting pictures...

interesting!!!

Durga seems to link to at least two others:

It apears to be a continuation of the converstation in Jersey, this time Jersy asks about jena jones (the girl from PQI/Yes_no), sounds like he is 'interested' in her. this could lead into the one that sounded like a date (parasites) though this is just spec.

OK, so I think the story's coming clear now.
Jersey stumbles onto this AI in his systems (Pious Flea? seems like a good fit to me) and they have their little chat. He's interested in Jan James because he wants to date her, but "Durga" finds out more than Jersey expected about Jan. Specifically, Jan's father is a fraud, with falsified records and identity. (Call this one a goblin story, there's a small hole in the middle here)
The police? get involved and set Jersey up to meet on a date with Jan, because they want to get more information on her father. Bring on the wired dinner conversation between Jersey and Jan.

[Wild Spec] If, in fact, Durga is our little friend the Pious Flea, and perhaps also that object in the cargo hold of Melissa's ship, then perhaps Jan's father sabotaged the ship to dispose of it and protect his secrets.
