[MEETUP IN CENTRAL PARK] Details of our harrowing adventure!

OK, so here's how it went down in Central Park. I met up with Big T and bostonbeat at the Needle, and after waiting, we figured everyone else was making their way over already, so we headed over to the appointed spot, the basketball courts.

Once there we found Relia chilling with none other than Joey. He was clad in winter gear like the rest of us, but sure enough he had his basket ball uniform on underneath. We asked some questions and discussed some milwaukee-related things while we waited for more people to show. Once our group got bigger (about 8 people I think?), Joey started breaking things down.

First he told us about after the power outtage how Milwaukee started to form a 'power board' to control the power in Milwaukee, and was afraid that Blackstar would get control of it. I'll throw in more details of what was discussed later.

At anyrate, Joey was paranoid the entire time and sure enough his paranoia was justified, as in the distance relia spotted Worker Power. Joey freaked and beckoned us behind a tree, where he distributed his supply of Family Trees to us. He had previously handed Relia an item called the "Champion Dynasty Fund", a golden turkey trophy (I kid you not) that he claimed was the most powerful item in Milwaukee.

Joey instructed us that the word to use a Family Tree's power was "Bonus", and for the Champion Dynasty Fund, "Bonub". At anyrate, Worker assumed the Power Run and came charging at us, and we were commanded to charge him in V-formation. So, we ran forward, out items in hand, shouting 'BONUS!' in a rather comical display.

So we charged at Worker, and he showed visible signs of pain, eventually half-collapsing to the snowy grass. He turned and ran, throwing one hundred (or nintey-nine?) one dollar bills into the air as he went. Joey continued after him, and told us to stay and figure this out.

We gathered the dollars together, and noted that they were of sequential serial numbers, and each had an orange sticker with a single letter or character on it. We set off to find warmer shelter and puzzle out this, er, puzzle!

Once safetly inside a Starbucks, we sat to work organizing the dollars. Luckily Relia was ultra prepared with paper and a pen and whatnot. We organized the bills by serial numbers, the last 3 digits ranging from 0-100. We wrote out the message, and found #42 was missing, but by a stroke of luck (or intention?) it was the U following a Q, so the message was unhampered.

I don't have the actual message written down with me, someone else can supply that later. But basically, it was from Mars Madison (Signed "<3 MM"), giving us an address to go to in order to begin phase 2.

We followed along to find that the address was a small candy/ice cream shop. We weren't sure if we were in the right place, until Big T spotted everyone's favorite three Milwaukee professionals; yes, the three girls from the video, the ones Terry hitched a ride with. They were happily giggling and sharing a milkshake (chocolate, with three straws). Once there they handed us a small red book, told us that was all we would get for now, and left arm-in-arm as they are apt to do.

The book turned out to be Mars's diary. The contents of which were read by Relia (thank god she could understand the handwriting). There were a lot of details in there, the last few pages seemed to be completely encoded using characters from the two charts in "A Reasonable Haven", or so it would seem. Also there were pages ripped out at the end.

I'll let my fellow adventurers provide the photos and/or scans of the diary, but thats pretty much where out adventure ended. Stay tuned for more details, kids!

It also might be relevant to note that there were two suspicious members of our group. They showed up late, and were both clad in bright red winter coats. One an mid-twenties-ish asian woman, and the other an older man who kept his mouth under a scarf.

They were kinda antisocial. Then, oddly, while were were making our way to somewhere warm to solve the dollars puzzle, we turned around and realized they had totally dissapeared without saying a word.

It's possible they were just jerks, but they may have also been plants to make sure we were going to solve the puzzle, or maybe even rebels. No way to tell really.

I am hard pressed as to whether I would describe our outing as:

(1) Awesome

or

(2) Awesome

But gimme a second and I too will attempt to transcribe the many details of this amazing adventure, including CYBORGS and also Joey compares the true heroism of Mike Russo to other famous heroes: Ulysses and Andre the Giant.

Oh! I completely forgot to mention that Joey gave us all postcards with info on becoming Re-Seaters. I'll post it up if I get my scanner running. x_x

Okay, my scanner hates me, here are crappy cellphone shots for now:

http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?image=postcard1eq2.jpg

http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?image=postcard2dy5.jpg

The text on the front reads as follows:

"Ring, ring, ring! Why, OPPORTUNITY is on the line ... and citizens across Active America are parading to Milwaukee to answer the call. Strong and virile, spanning the public and private sectors, re-seaters are heroes for a reasonable tomorrow. Don't think you can make the team? Nonsense! Re-seaters all start as regular Janes and Joes; it's only after a brief but intense training period that they become something more: brave conquerors, possessed of the knowledge, wit, agility, charisma, and inventory befitting a Powerclass 5. Someone has to keep Go.D.S.E.E.D. slumbering. Why not you?"

It's worth noting that OPPORTUNITY and the 5 after Powerclass are in a different font than everything else.
