For the record, you get to keep the loot... but the lock doesn't come off Smile The code given opens a panel in the SIDE of the lock, not the lock itself.

Like a realtor's lock?

I'm planning on being around, not sure about anyone else just yet.

Awesome. How would you like to go about this? I'm really interested in participating and I know I'll have the time.

Is it possible that the one at the stock exchange was stolen and spent?

Not too likely. Each drop has a 3 hour window to be picked up, after which it is removed by the PM's. The time expired and the drop was listed as a failed pick-up. That and I'd be willing to bet a ninja is nearby at all the drops since they get removed after 3 hours. If someone attempted to steal it, I'm sure the Ninja would step in.

All speculation naturally, but I'm pretty sure it would be more difficult for someone to try and remove a lock they had no idea money was in than would be worth it. Who sees a random lock on a fence and says, "I HAVE to have that lock."...?

Still down for Cincy, wife OK'd it, taking a vacation day, and heading up there around noon. That'll give me plenty of time to get there, probably even grab some wings and a beer, maybe even see the Great American Ballpark. YES WE CAN

Hi guys - new to ARGs and to this particular game.

I should be able to grab the Columbus one. Quick question for a newbie - once the cache goes live, do they post the GPS coordinates then?

Welcome to uF =)

Yep... when the countdown hits zero the GPS coordinates, a combination for the lock, and a hint of where to look will be announced.

I'll be here for back up if any online support is needed. For any of the drops. Just hop into irc (#international) when the time comes to join in the fun.

I'm up for the LA drop if it's anywhere in the San Fernando Valley.

Who else is coming to the last LA drop?

My sis can try for the Seattle drop tomorrow.

Kazuko, I might head out for the 2nd L.A. drop, depending on where it is. Selfish, I know, but I doubt it will be so close to me again anyway.
