Hi there guys!
I'm the guy who did that picture... interesting how things get a life ot their own in the web...
Not that I really find it bothersome that somebody takes my work and does something with it (I even had some works distributed as an open document, with a creative commons licence)... I'm just curious. And right now I'm just wondering what this is all about, is somebody spamming people using a modified version of my cover illustration?
cheers!

Hi there, just wanted to say that I'm a complete newbie to ARGing, so sorry if I sound / look like a moron or something.
When I took the numbers (36381902), and matched them up with the letters in San Francisco (Ignoring the space in San Francisco, and using the 0 as a space), I ended up with the word nancsi a. When I googled it, I ended up with this . When you use the code with San Francisco, you get enough numbers for coordinates, which leads you to here . Granted, it's in the middle of the desert, but it's Iran which is a Muslim country, which is where the code from the Kabbalah comes in.
Kind of contrived, but like I said, I'm a newbie. I dunno. Is there something, or is it all just a REALLY BIG coincidence?

That's really cool. How'd you find out that I posted this here, out of curiousity?
It's a fantastic picture.
Also, I haven't gotten any more emails since that original. Has anyone else?[/quote]

I haven't received another email. I think we are supposed to be able to do something with what we've been given so far.
I have been trying to find a website but no success so far.

I think we need someone on the ground for this. Someone should try to check out Alcatraz, as the place they mention does exist. Can't you call the ranger station on the island? The few times I've been there, the people working there are nice enough, maybe tell them there might be something for a geocache game there and ask if they can check?

Let me see if I can find anyone local. I posted something on my twitter to see if any of my peeps reply. Otherwise I might just take a drive there this weekend.

Sorry if the PM is reading this, but a Geocache game on Alcatraz is really *not* the smartest move.
And if a PM is setting up an ARG based around Alcatraz, then I'm hoping there's not going to be a requirement to get there :/

Now *that's* cool and would make an awesome ARG.

Im hoping that's not the case because...
1) You have to PAY to get on to Alcatraz island, no? Paying anything is a no-no in the ARG world, usually.
2) We are not going to go rifling around debris in a National Historic Site because it could arguably be considered tresspassing and against the law. Not to mention leaving something on the island in the first place - which could be considered littering - is ALSO illegal in a historic site.

I had a three day weekend and came close to going but I had some family visit unannounced so that fell through. I think due to the difficulty of getting someone on the island this will be hard to crack if the only trailhead item is there.
