To obtain a copy of the rules, send a self-addressed, postage-stamped business-size envelope with sufficient postage to Sponsor at the following address: The 39 Clues Rules Request, 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012. Residents of Canada and the US states of Washington and Vermont may omit return postage. The winners' details and rules will also be available on www.the39clues.com during such time. For Episode #1, send requests after December 31, 2008, and before February 27, 2009. For Episode #2 and Episode #3, send requests during the dates indicated at www.the39clues.com. and heres some more info:

6. Determination of Winners. At the end of the Contest Period, the 3 participants who have earned the most points will be the potential winners. In the event of a tie such that more than 3 participants have earned the most points, Sponsor shall, in its sole discretion, determine a tie-breaking skill-based mechanism to determine the 3 finalists from among those who are tied. If any potential winner cannot be reached, is not appropriately qualified, or has otherwise failed to comply with these rules, an alternate potential winner will be chosen who has the next highest amount of points.

Excuse me but-This is a shoddy job on the part of SCHOLASTIC. I'm very disappointed! The promotional aspect, the prizes, the scoring, the hackers; all these things should have been under control before 39 Clues BEGAN. Here we are, searching for 2 stupid promo cards, don't know who won from 3 weeks ago, hackers are going "bananas". What's so disappointing- it's my kids. I don't understand, they don't understand-I think Scholastic has lost sight of what they initially promised-Books & Games done fairly for Kids!

So I start thinking to myself. Frankenstein holds the truth, and start searching through Grace info and Useless Facts mentions eternal life. Frankenstein is death brought back to life. So I start thinking maybe she is going for eternal life, but what is the point the two people she loves disappeared?
So on the Cahill Web search page I notice Victor Wood's name. What is with him? Shifty Eyes Why do I have his card? I click on his name then viewed his resume. It mentions gold and alchemy several times, then right near the bottom

OMG!! The hadrons and black holes are String Theory. So I pull up the CERN card and notice the outside edge has 'plan for disaster' following + and - pattern. CERN's scientists built the Large Hadron Collider, which accelerates small particles around a 17-mile loop where they collide into other particles at high speeds. Others are scared that the experiments might create black holes that could destroy the universe. Like what? There's no way these guys are creating black holes for fun. I think these experiments are a cover for some top secret experiment that's too dangerous for the world to know about. Maybe the secret to eternal life? Ha Ha. Very funny. You might as well say they're turning straw into gold.

The last line made me think gold and eternal life are both Red Herring

Arrow Clue Finder Guide #2 has copy of obit with their 'unknown' disappearance brought to attention.
I went back to Cahill Web and see the article for MIT Compass Beloved Professor Dies in Fire and think what is MIT? I click on it and he taught nonlinear dynamics and quantum theory.

Coffee I done for now, but tell me what you think.

I whole-heartedly agree with your theory. I just noticed that 'alchemy' and 'secret to eternal life' pop up almost everywhere. I was just going to post it when I noticed your post. To add to the theory, after noticing these reappearing phrases, I decide to find a relation between them. But HOW could there be any? Alchemy is concerned with the founding of the Philosopher's Stone which can turn metal into gold on physical contact in the presence of heat. And, 'the secret to eternal life' is being immortal...
Then it hhit me. Of course, Alchemy concerns with the making of the Philosopher's Stone, but it is also said that while making the Stone, another by-product called the Elixir of Life, was found which, when drunk, would give the drinker eternal life. I believe that this Elixir of Life is the secret of the Cahills. So, I reach the conclusion that the clues are actually materials which, when mixed form the Elixir of Life.

What do you think? Wink

Hmm... Youre talking about Harry Potter, arent you? Besides the theory of unity, your theory sounds plausible by itself but doesnt really make sense when combined with card 61 that is known to show the secret power of the Cahills. Maybe card 61 is trying to show the four branches enjoying eternal life along with the MIB?

Really something to think about....

And based on that, I tried 23rrgmn2x2 . which seemed to work. I'll update the wiki.
