Strange - I've run this through a few decoders, and most of them return the answer with nothing.. very strange. Guess I'll try a few things manually.

Maybe sometimes twenty four is not twenty plus four, but twenty, and four.... i.e. not 24, but 20 and 4. Just a thought...

Looking at the lyrics of that Cat Stevens song - the last few lines say

Looking at the numbers a bit more, they started to look like coordinates, but I wasn't able to break them down, the 63 throws it off for me - unless there's a different way to convert em - has anyone else tried this?

Couldn't it also simply mean 2+4? The only reason I asked, is because I did try that but didn't come up with anything that looked meaningful.

I still think that the numbers must have something to do with the individual questions. Remember that it says in "n":

Somehow, the numbers extract the correct info from the text that Petunia wrote. A seven letter password, maybe? Unfortunately, I've tried everything that I could think of, and nothing seemed to work.

So maybe I am totally off base! Smile

haven't fidgeted with letters yet, this is raw. i took the questions and counted the letters.

example: 25= 2nd and 5th letter
1-----petuniashaw: who wants to kill jon, and why?
1-----shrecknet: Twenty-five. Next question

what do you all thing maybe? anyone tried this yet?
the only reason they are spaced is in reference to the way the numbers were received dealing with #2 answers maybe being right/wrong. i figured they were meant to be used...

I also ROT'd it - but again nothing. But I think we're at least in the right frame of mind now - we're looking at the more obvious possibilities - rather than trying to MacGyver it out of nothing with a paperclip, and a gnat's leg.

I had another thought this morning as I was waking up - when I ran the small code petunia got the other day

through the encryption site that's been commonly used so far - as well as 1 or 2 others I can't recall off the top of my head - the answer returned was always blank. Its not to say that I had the right keywords, or even the right cipher - but strange nonetheless. Anyway - using a blank keyword for the email didn't work. /sigh
