Something's fishy about it. Why put a countdown that doesn't have a specific end time, or even day now?

Because he can? I've never put much faith in the countdowm. It always seemed more like a response to 'Are we there yet?' The down side of that for me is the half hour I spent looking for www.canopus.anything Smile I mean we could already have a rabbit hole and not know it because we're watching the countdown.

A late working Rabbit blogged THIS in the wee hours. Maybe explaining why the countdown is a tad funky?

I was archiving the messages on the wiki and either FractalGod missed some or there have been additions. What I've found so far...

Ok... So I'm bored and online. What about this for thought. It's already been posted about planets/stars for the de-coded stuff.
But about the symbols on the sign up page..
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It was determined they were names of 8 muses. But the ninth one was missing... well if you read here: http://xrl.us/MinorPlanets

All of them had planets that were named for them. But the Melpomene, was the only one that "for the first time, no sign was adopted to this planet."
So this also ties in with the other stars/planets type of stuff.
(and mars=war) so...?
Wiki also mentions a tenth one for justice that was created for comics. This might also tie in.

I'm sure this means nothing, but like I said, I'm bored.

(edited because comp. is totally slow & I forgot to preview, and couldn't remember how to make the link look like I wanted it to. Embarassed )

Thanks for the tiny! I needed that.... Very Happy
Someone needs to show me that trick. It's been awhile since I've used forums. And I can't remember all the little tricks of the trade.

Not sure how taboo it is to speak of such things, but following that 'linked to' trail that Caseys_Mom pointed out, there seems to be quite a few sites...if even half of those are IG, this looks like its gonna be quite exciting and worthwhile Very Happy

Is that considered "cheating"? Do I need to go back and edit that out, or delete? I didn't think it mattered?

Right. I suppose I'm missing something, then. What led you to the aforementioned "linked to" trail, if you can't post what the trail actually is?

Right well here you are:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.google.com/search?as_lq=deceptech&btnG=Search is a search of all websites that link to Deceptech. Down at the bottom there you'll see http://www.voicestressanalysis.net/, which by poking around will lead you to a bunch of different sites.

Hope that clears things up. I'm fairly certain we aren't supposed to know about those quite yet, and not everything seems to be IG anyways.

That was my fault.... I'm one of those "new" annoying people that's been bored and staying up too late at night. I had posted about some linked sites, and then later deleted it because I discovered that I was wrong and had misunderstood an earlier post about the fact that some sites that a regular search pulls up are real, legit, OOG sites....
I deleted the post because I discovered I was wrong and didn't want to mislead anyone by pointing to any legit site...
I'm sorry for the confusion.

Please try to overlook probably 90% of what I post... I'm new, (plus my evil twin likes to post stupid stuff and blame it one me... Rolling Eyes )

It seems that particular Deceptech is a genuine program: http://www.ultimateguideforsheriffs.com/company.php?id=211721

That's a Marines motto Wink But yes, it was definitely in Hackers too.
