Got the Columbus drop! Since it's a level 2 snow emergency here (meaning you're not supposed to drive unless absolutely necessary) - I was a little concerned, but I'm glad I went!

When I got there at 11am, I spent about 15 minutes looking for the drop with no luck. Finally, someone shouted at me "Are you here for the scavenger hunt?" I told them yes, and they handed me the lock. They said they were late, supposed to be there at 9:30 am but the snow caused delay. They actually had no idea what the promotion was or what was inside the case. I thought that was kinda funny.

My haul was:

$40 american
20 Canadian dollars = $17
50 kronors = $6
50 British pounds = $72
50 Australian dollars = $33
100 Euros = $132

Total = $300

London?
Anyone going to the drop?

I just found this hunt this week-and there must be someone else as the first London drop was found. See you there!

Salt Lake has sketchy places?! I didn't think that was allowed there.

I'm so jealous, I want the lock more than the cash.

On second thought, does that make me crazy?

Screwy

I did have to give back the lock because the people who handed it to me said they had to send it back. (Though they weren't entirely sure - they seemed quite confused about the whole thing.) Wish I had seen the note about the numbers on the back before I left! Whoops.

DC - completed (commando-style. Me, a map, and the clue! Very Happy)
(NOTE: Inclement weather and the lock being located about a hike from any convenient subway station, apparently left me being the only hunter)

Location of Box:
Kalorama Park (Fence closes to entrance across from Belmont St)

Time of Find:
Between 10:45 - 10:55 am

Contents of the box (#69) as follows (I'll post a picture later):
1 100 USD
2 20 USD
1 20 CAD (=$16.41 USD)
1 50 SEK (=$6.25 USD)
2 50 NOK (=$14.92 USD)
1 20 PHP (=$0.43 USD)
1 100 AUD (=$66.92 USD)
1 20 EUR (=$26.52 USD)
1 5 EUR(=$6.63 USD)
1 20 HKD (=$2.58 USD)

Total = 280.66 (est based on calculator at x-rates)

Money will be entered at the Blood Money tracker @ STI

Pics posted later here

Also, strangely enough one of the 20 USDs is registered with "Where's George". Laughing

Tampa is still up even though it should have been removed 20 mins ago, I hope that means someone picked it up.

Also, Miami is live. Where the Miami players at yo?

I failed in NY, I found it almost ludicrous that I did. I work in union square and got down there by 12:20, however the "railing" in front of the church is 3 blocks long.

google maps

I looked for about 5 minutes, called my boyfriend, looked for about 2 more then he said it popped up retrieved on the screen.

I never even saw the lock attached to the railing. However, while on the phone with BF I saw the kid from the promotions company leaving with the lock, he looked like he was 16 and on the phone.

I suspect someone working in the wall street area picked it up because I got down there darn quick.

Edit: shortened the url -- sapagoo

Bummer, sorry!

Miami and Tampa (yay!) are both gone too, so far the 1st NY drop is the lone loser not to be picked up...

I can't believe no one has gotten the Chicago one. I didn't make a plan to go because I figured it would be snatched up right away.
