Rookie jumping in

Hey everybody!

I'm just joining and have caught up with the posts so far. I have e-mailed Dr. Dark Owl with the fault locations and hope to answer the other questions when he replies. (I'm new to ARGs so any help or hints are welcome!)

P.S. I love the radio format - auditory processing is a lost art...

Welcome witsEkr! This is my first ARG, so I'm new to all of this as well. So far, it's been a blast! Everyone does seem helpful and friendly, so do take ifihadahifi's advice and don't be shy about speaking up here.
Also, check out the new tweet from Creepy! It's great news! Yippie!!!!

I contacted the doctor like the rest of you. We're still in the CanITrustYou-phase but I'm working on it. There's nothing new in his mail, but I haven't seen this statements here:
Quote:
Words were spoken. The worlds were ripped open. A terrible tragedy is taking place.
There are rupture points. I have given information to someone, but she has not been working toward my goal.

Re. Randy and the book: I haven't been following MOTP, but it seems to me that accidents are likely to happen when Randy and Earl are around. Is the book really save with them, or is it possible that the Seeker will get some company in the near future?

Oh Oh! Shocked New tweet from Earl while I' typing this:
Quote:
Crap! Outta beer! Wanna leave for a while anyway. Randy is the loudest reader ive ever heard. Drivin me crazy.

EDT: Tweeted Earl to stop Randy & hoping he will heed our warnings.

I have encouraged Earl to not let Randy read the book out loud. Hopefully we can convince them to send it back to Creepy before one of them ends up being transported into the story. Trillian you are right to be worried about Randy and Earl having the book. Troubles seem to bubble up around these guys.

I am convinced that we'll get something more useful from DDO soon. Its seems like all of you who are emailing him are making progress. And any progress is good progress as far as I am concerned. All we need is for him to trust one of you.

I fear the worst. I've tried to contact both Earl and Randy. If what we fear is true, I can only hope Randy finds the Seeker before he gets hurt or worse. Please, if anyone hears from them let us know ASAP.
I'm still waiting to hear back from DDO. I'll let you know...

I also sent messages to Randy and Earl asking that they call Creepy or just send her the book. But I too have a feeling that Randy is now with the Seeker. If Earl went out for beer like his tweet said, then he may be ok.

I do hope we can help out somehow.

The Luny Heads Chat shows that Buy Lotsa aka Randy is online. Tried to contact him there but he doesn't answer.

I heard back from DDO and I need everyone's help, please! There's a deadline and I'm not certain of my instructions. Here's what he sent:

Quote:
I will give you one mission.

This is not my fault.

You must prove to me that you can handle this mission.

Do not tell.

Creepy can not know you are taking it on.

Do not tell!

It's not my fault.

If you can complete this mission before the weekend, then I will know I can trust you.

The worlds are torn apart.

Choose one of the states I gave you.

In the body of your email, give me all important information you can find about that state.

You will be in charge of communication for that state.

I'm not to blame. I'm not to blame.

The "It's not my fault." is in purple text.
What I'm unclear on is "give me all the important information you can find about that state." Does he mean facts about the state or should I be taking a deeper look at the pinwheel images? Any guidance would be appreciated.
For now, I'm choosing Arizona and researching general facts about it as well as geographical facts about it (such as fault lines).

My email from DDO. Will see what's possible if anything. Twisted Evil

You need to have her transcribe some pages.

This is not my fault.

Show me what she shows you from the back cover. That is where we will begin.

Do not tell what you know.

This is not my fault.

Obviously, a test since DDO earlier said: "I have hidden information in pages ".

I'll take CA since I live here. Shouldn't be too hard to whip up a few factoids for DDO. I fear I may break his brain with how much info I might give him. We shall see!

@Tiffany48 Sending him facts can't be wrong. If the doctor wants something else he'll let you know.

Made some progress, too, and for once living in Europe seems to be an advantage: no geology-quiz for me. Smile

I don't know how to fix the problem.
I just have an idea.
But it is hard.
It's not my fault.
The words were read aloud, and the worlds were ripped apart.
The words must not be read aloud again, not in this world.
We must get the information to the other world.
I did not do this.
I could not have done this.
I need someone to contact Creepy. She has to transcribe pages.
How will you get her information without her knowing what has taken place?

My answer:
Quote:
I'm glad to hear of you and VERY relieved that we are making progress. Time is short. Someone stole Creepy's book and another, innocent man made the mistake of reading it aloud, we haven't heard of him since. I fear that he was drawn into Darkworld, too.

Creepy is trying to get the book back but this might take some time. My friends and I are in constant contact with her and she's as much interested in rescuing those people as we are. Once Creepy has the book back I'll ask her to scan the pages and post them on her website so that all of us, who are trying to rescue the Seeker, can access them anytime. After all the book could get lost again. That way you'll get the information you want and nobody will be troubled with unnecessary details. Wink

Unfortunately I've got no idea how to get information into the other world... Perhaps you have something in mind?

Whatever happens, don't forget: I don't blame you!!! This is not your fault!!! You did not do this!!!

Mind Control?

Hi all!

I received an e-mail from DDO also- similar to the first replies posted by others here - nothing new. I will try to gain his trust and see what I get.

I'm wondering if anyone else thinks that the doctor's posts sound a little odd, like maybe he is not in control of his own mind... (and thus his actions are not his fault?) I'm intrigued by the Kate Callahan mind control ads on Creepy's show and wonder if or how they are connected. Has anyone considred this?

I am trying a new angle related to this with my reply just to see what I get. Here it is:

Quote:
I think I might know why this is not your fault. I am a newcomer and Creepy does not know me. I can keep your secret from her. Do you know Kate Callahan?

witsEkr

P.S. What kind of doctor are you?

I'll keep you posted.[/quote]
