Where is Grace's mansion??

In Maze of Bones, it's in Worcester County.

In Heinrich's report, it's in Attleboro.

There are several other pages on the Cahill web that also use Attleboro - mostly the references to the Attleboro Gazette.

Attleboro appears to be in Bristol County, near Providence, R.I.
Worcester County is central Massachusetts, with Worcester being the largest city and county seat.

You are right. Somebody screwed up.

A discussion on the Finder/Founder thread about what clue Grace might have found got me thinking about something that has been nagging at me for awhile. This may be a continuity problem, or it could just be something I haven't caught on about.

The copper clue was obviously found years ago by Hope (or Grace) and hidden in Hope's body. After the car accident, wouldn't it have been re-hidden? When we uncovered the X-Ray (card #60), wouldn't the clue have been hidden somewhere else by that point?

Yes, it would have been. In the book, they have only found Iron Solute, Phosphorus (the vial hidden in the church) and Tungsten. We are 3 clues ahead of Amy and Dan who also have to find 39 clues.

I thought that the 39 Clues that A&D are searching for are the same ones that we are finding. We are all members of the Cahill family branches and are finding the same 39 Clues. At some point, it seems like the books will have to take into account that the online game participants have found some of the 39 Clues. (Something like cross-over that occurred when the real-life Stephen King became part of the story when he wrote the last of the gunslinger stories). Or will A&D automatically get the clues that we find? I just don't see how this will work out story-wise wrt continuity, etc.

When the online game is over, the books have to stand on their own. Amy & Dan have to find 39 Clues.

So, do you think that A&D's 39 clues are different from the clues that we are finding in the on-line game?

Hard to say. Maybe in book 5 or 6 we find that Amy and Dan are in a totally different place escaping from their relatives and A&D have found all the clues we found.

Foe example, let's just say in book 4, A&D found a cartain clue and are now heading to let's say Singapore. Maybe in book 5, A&D have found the clue in Sngapore and the clues we found and are now in Brazil on the hunt for another clue.

Sounds kind of carzy, but who knows? Wink

Re: Where is Grace's mansion??

I sent an email to Scholastics and this is what they wrote back.

On the Cahill Website, under Heinrich Heinrichson report, it says:

Attleboro
`I spied on McIntyre by hiding outside the old lady's estate.'

"the old lady's estate" I take to being Grace Cahill, or am I wrong in my assumption??

If I am right, Attleboro is nowhere close to Worcester County and they are in two different states.

I take it from this email that she does live in Attleboro.

Maybe you should get paid in the form of cards or even money...... for spotting the mistake.

Card 26:Marie Curie

Am i right in seeing that on the back of card 26, there's a spelling error in the last line of the first paragraph.

Quote:
She then studied math, physics, and CHEMISTY at the University of Paris.

Does anyone's card 26 have the same error?
