I didn't know *he* released a version of this song. That's...quite creepy, actually, knowing his kind of style. Regardless, another point for you!

Who (or what) are "The Wurzels"?
Regardless, it's a positive ID, and for the record, the artists were Fiddler's Dram.

#2 Song "There's more to life than kissing pretty girls ? HELP - I've been desparately searching for this song (a version of Joe Strummer's "Silver & Gold" or "Before I Grow To Old" song I think?) - it was from a CD my friend had back around 2000 which I had a copy of only on a cassette tape which I now can't find anyway... but I can't find it anywhere and I've searched far & wide (on the Internet) over the past couple years - - and one of my google searches brought up this link... the "guess that song" discussion. Is #2 from an album called "World Party" or "World (something)"?

The version of the song I referred to was by "Beats International", and comes from the album "Let Them Eat Bingo". I am unaware of any other versions (although now you've got me curious, I may look up this Joe Strummer version).

U R MY HERO Finally my musical mystery is solved YAY!!!!
I totally recognize the album cover now that I see it. Many times I searched "World Beats" and even "Global Beats" - but it was "Beats INTERNATIONAL" - - - Now I'll just have to locate the song for purchase, hopefully less than the $40 album cost at Amazon =/
- - -Thank you so much for your response - that totally makes my day!

Together In Electric Dreams - Human League/Phil Oakey - can't quite remember the precise artist!
Not going to make much more personal progress without resorting to Google I don't think.

Just for your info - The Wurzels
Songs like "I am a cider drinker" and "The combine harvester" song.
Reminds me of my childhood.
I can't read and I can't write
But that don't really matter
Coz I come form the west country
And I can drive a tractor
Non-wurzel ditty.
