Well geez, there's so many aspects to this game. I was here in the beginning, but I didn't really follow it too much for a while. It seems like so much has happened since then. Did it ever get tied to anything?

EDIT: and what about trout?!

"trout" is ARG slang for bringing up stuff that's already been brought up before.

Alriiight! Thank you Mr. Slang for being the first non-douche to teach me something new about ARGs. Not to imply that everyone on here is a douche, but really, the treatment of newcomers has not been kind. And it appears that this ARG has a lot of newcomers judging by the number of anon's and people with under 10 posts.

....and I promise Rolling Eyes to put in an appreciable effort to check if what I think I discovered has already been discovered and discussed in another thread.

still OT: I think you'll find that the longer someone's been here, the nicer and more accepting they are of newcomers (and smoother they are with dishing the trout) Wink we like friends and community here! snarkiness doesn't make friends. =)

All trout aside, I just wanted to add my 2¢ concerning the "long tail" idea some people are discussing. Considering that the term "long tail" was used in an email from an OOG source, I think it's safe to say it was a typo and not intentional. I just think we should stick to things we know for sure (which is about nothing right now) and not speculate on an OOG communication's possible typo. Might just lead us into wasting another 3 weeks Crying or Very sad

I don't recall this being attempted yet, so hopefully it isn't trout, but I was able to use a printer at the college today and got a (tiny...) copy of the page 2/3 layout of ARH. I tried looking at p2/3 at different angles (as was brought up by BlessedBlogger in the other thread) and didn't see anything special.

Then, on a whim, I tried tracing the dotted lines generated by Chuck's eyes and extending the line across the page, then covered up the rest of the page (so that all I could see was stuff between the lines). I wanted to see if maybe they would form letters within the boundaries of the two lines. I didn't get any symbols I recognized, unfortunately. Though the head of the guy to the left of the volcano on P3 just happens to lie right in that path and seems to be looking down the same line.

I don't have a scanner, but it's simple enough to do if you think I may be missing something.

^ I tried the same thing, with the same results. But it's interesting that Chucks eyes are looking Southeast, the leftmost figure on page 3 is looking Southeast, and the compass on page 8 has the needle pointing Southeast. Also, the "long walk" chart trends Southeast. A coincidence perhaps...?

I wish we had more pages from the Handbook!

The words "you gotta get what I'm alluding" has already been shown to be close to the phrase "SURELYYOUKNOWWHATIMREFERRINGTO"

using table 2 on page 27 and lining the numbers up with table 1 you get:

5062910122406026095830245 plus blanks. thanks to FeloniousDrunk for his php script: http://hosted.xamai.ca/27.php

break each up into 5 digits

50629
10122
10602
60958
30245

which look like zip codes:

50629 FAIRBANK, IA
10122 New York, NY
40602 Frankfort, KY
60958 NONE
30245 NONE

I did my best to search the forums. Sorry if this is a repeat.

From these three cities and the map showing the 4 active cities + wichita on page 1 of Haven

any suggestions?

Sorry, I believe the term is "trout". The numbers turned out to be the times that "family trees" occurred in the original TIMM video (first at 01:22, third at 02:45 ... ).

I have nothing further to share at the moment. MUONS!
