 		New book info
I just received my info from Creepy and need your help. First, here is my original e-mail from DDO requesting the info:

My dilemna is that DDO asked for a word (singular) and I'm not sure what it is. Any thoughts? I need to get it right to get more info from him, I assume.

Also, since I seem to be "in" with Creepy, is there any book info that we still need? Let me know ASAP and I will request it. (I can check back in the morning)

 		The first letters of each sentence spell:

LIE which I guess would make it: to get notes there LIE or LIE to get notes there or whatever


Not sure if that's it tho.

I deciphered it:

The page number is this act, "Yea, noise? Then I'll be brief. O happy dagger!" times 13, plus three. The paragraph is the last. The last words of the paragraph, up to the number of the act.


This is what I have figured out from that so far:

The act is 5, so multiply that by 13 plus 3 and you get 68. So, if I understand the instructions correctly, then we need the last 5 words of the last paragraph on page 68.


Does that seem correct to all of you? Can someone who is close to Creepy please try to get those words? I may try but I don't have much of a rapport with her. I only hope it's not too late and Creepy still has the book.

 		Ok, time for my updates. It was a busy night and we'll start with an email from DDO:

Ok, so before I tell you about my reply I have to tell you about what Creepy sent me from the cover page. Which was:

Which translating the binary gives you:

THe ISBN is an identification number for books, so I'm not sure if there is more to that or not.

So I told Creepy first, and while I was at it asked the for the page that Tiffany needed too. So hopefully I can get that to you today, Tiffany.

Then I replied to DDO telling him the same thing, and asking if there was more info we need to get. He seems to hint at there being more in his email.

There also seems to be a sense of urgency from Creepy for us to carry on the fan page. Any thoughts on that?

So, do we have Florida-ARGers willing to help us out? I'll tell DDO that I will try to find someone, but that it will be difficult.

Regarding the lunyheads-page: I made a blog post during my lunch-break. I tried to summarize this weeks episode, challenge & all and asked for volunteers to do the videos. I'll tell Creepy about it. If she's not satisfied with that, she will have to help us.

@ifihadahifi As far as the ISBN, I'm guessing Creepy interpreted something you said as "the book is not real" and was trying to prove the book's existence by giving you the longest ISBN in the world. Very Happy

@Trillian Nice job with the blog post and challenge! I may try to put up a video. However, all I have access to right now is a web cam, so at best it would be, ummmm, interesting.

 		Certain that Karija's finding the extra hidden word "LIE" in DDO's notes is pivotal, especially after his reply to a query.

Retrieving DDO's notes is risky, pilfering Creepy's for him isn't imo acceptable. And for what purpose? If Jeff doesn't have all her notes I'll try to get something and post it here without passing on more than a "sweetener" to DDO.

 		Tiffany48, you are the one who deserves all the praise. I saw your cartoon. It's great & this cartoon creating site looks like a wonderful tool. Bookmarked it immediately. Who is the guy sitting in the corner: Jeff after he read in the book or DDO after we somehow managed to send him where he belongs? Smile

I totally agree with amandel. Trying to get as much information out of the doc as possible & only feeding him morsels of what we find out seems to be the safest way to proceed - but difficult. My impression is that he has ZERO intention of getting anyone back but rather wants to cover his traces.

Oh, and I received a Tweet from Creepy, she seems to be happy with the way we handle the fan-page and "...If the fan page keeps going, I'm sure we can get things back on track, and I can try to help R&E&S."

I let it slip there were issues with the book when I gave him the bind info on Texas. Not much of a response, really, but thought it was funny and rather ironic. Smile

Using alphabet progression the letter + the number decodes as Campbell Rd.. There are some in Arizona. Maybe?

@witsEkr I found a Campbell Rd. in Bullhead City, AZ. It's mere 110 miles from Las Vegas; I know Las Vegas can soooo boring, so if you need something to do feel free to jaunt over to Bullhead City and see if that's the Campbell Rd. we need! Laughing
