Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They're not quite the same image. The one in the .rar is missing a small piece in the middle. The very rightmost edge of the M at the top and the middle of the R at the bottom.

Might just be nothing.

But is it ever just nothing?

alright, sorry for the delay y'all, I posted on my way out...

spoiler below if you want to figure it out, but I won't bother spoilering:

I took the present.jpg image and compared it to the same image displayed on the blog - the visual content was identical. Then I noticed the size difference. Looking at the additional binary data on the present.jpg, I noticed the 'RAR' signature - at the end of the JPG data. I simply renamed the file to RAR and decompressed another image, me.jpg. It's a similar image, but containing the url http://www.myspace.com/452627949 (I haven't looked into a possible meaning of the number yet). It was a private Myspace profile. I requested a friend, then E.Y.E. friended me. Then the Myspace URL for the account was updated to http://www.myspace.com/brucefoundeye1st_thistime

I then received a message: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"AB" is standard encryption content of a baconian cipher. So I popped open my bookmark to a quick decryption site at http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/bacon.htm , and removing the line break, the text decrypted (without word breaks) to:
Quote:
YOU ARE THE FIRST TO FIND EYE AT MY TEMPORARY SPACE YOUR SKILLS WILL COME IN HANDY AS YOU MIGHT HAVE GUESSED DANTE IS MISSING EYE AM WORRIED WE NEED TO FIND HIM EYE

And that's that... Cool

IIRC myspace gives you a number until you decided to give your space a name.

It looks like we have our first objective. I've asked the other players if they know anything about D's whereabouts.

Comment to T.S.O. : E.Y.E. has indicated that D is MIA. Have you heard from him, T.S.O.?

Reply : E.Y.E. would indeed be the first to know. T.S.O.

"kneels at thebruce's feet" I am so humbled to watch a master in action. I feel like I should change my screen name to Gwasshoppah. Great job!

New blurb at TSO myspace (http://www.myspace.com/thesecretorganisation):

Quote:

We have increased the security.

Only FRIENDS can see all our info.

These are dangerous times. We need to be cautious.

T.S.O.

Who I'd like to meet:
YOU - WE NEED YOUR HELP. FIGHT THE VIRUS!

Since numbers seem to matter.. currently
The Secret Organisation has 29 friends.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Further comment to TSO : When and what was the last you heard from D, T.S.O.?

And the disappointing but kind of expected reply : Unfortunately, that is classified information at this moment. Our organisation is still not strong enough to protect all of us against the enemy that will soon show its face. T.S.O.

So, TSO knows something, but won't fork it over until it/they feel the numbers are great enough to provide security.

So cracatoan viruses, mad corporations, vigilante information givers, internet writers, computer wizards, missing people from the past and time-travelling? Hell yeah, count me in.

And to make this post have something interesting, i have sended a friend request to Secret Organisation on Myspace, so we`ll see if he agrees with it.

Just something I noticed...

Hello all, I have read all the posts in this thread and visited all the links. I have sent friend requests to myspace pages and followed blogs. I will let everyone know what pans out.

There is something I noticed though. Maybe nothing, but I wanted to point it out anyways.

The date on the newspaper clipping that appears on the TSO myspace page ( http://www.myspace.com/thesecretorganisation ) is:

Friday, May 1, 2009.

So this clip DID come from the future or is at least dated in the future.

EDIT: If you go to the E.Y.E. myspace page that TheBruce discovered, kudos to Bruce btw, and click on the video link there, it shows some vital statistics although they may not be pertinent I wanted to point it out.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
E.Y.E. = 24 years old/NY/US

Okay, after staring at that newspaper clipping, I have a funny feeling... something important is under those black marks. The only one I feel confident about is the one just below the title. I think that one would name

our traveling journalist Perry
as the author.

New Comment on the very first entry of Adam's blog!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's from "Eve" and leads to what is probably Dante's myspace page:
http://www.myspace.com/dantejonahson

I've tried and added him, although Eve says he doesn't add anymore.

Edit: Removed the URL tags, as they show through the spoiler patch.

New post over at
http://90021040.blogspot.com/2009/02/challenge.html

with new image

The image online (EYEchallengeyou.jpg) is 15 K
Clicked, it leads to a download of a EYEchallengeyou.rar file, which decompresses to an image ('TheTriangle.jpg') which is the triangle you see in the background of the first image.

This file has size of 233 KB.
I tried changing its extension to .rar and re-decompressing, which lead me to a fun sequence of files (need to decompress each time):

TheTrinagle.rar
EYE Dont.RAR
Like.RAR
To.RAR
Repeat.RAR
Myself.RAR

and the last one can't be decompressed any more. So, TheBruce's trick from last time didn't work straight out (which would have been surprising).

Forgot to mention:
The image of the Penrose triangle includes some letters:

IPP I2QIVOWP - LIVIP QH PNP'H PIWR J2WIPP2. PNP QH ILIU'H OQ2WR2QPVL. ILIU QH LIVIP'H JPHI R2QPVL.

How to decode that one ? I'll go try the Codex image
