When you go to submit robot thingy, listen the alphabets on registering window. Could someone make a transcript?

Hmm I don't know.. The link says 'Get an audio challenge' and I believe it's meant for visually impaired users. The help link leads to info on reCARTCHA:
"Visually impaired users can click the audio button to hear a set of digits that can be entered instead of the visual challeng"
Seems that the audio challenge doesn't have to match the visual one...
Then again, the audio challenge seemed rather difficult to get right to me.. is this how reCAPTCHA usually works ?

Also, I tried different times and got different audio tracks, just like you usually get different words in the visual challenge if you try multiple times.

I think you misunderstood, I mean in the audio challenge you can clearly hear someone talking backwards when he`s saying the numbers. Does anybody here have a program, that can reverse sounds. And if I`m wrong, remember this: Better to be safe than sorry.

I think you are right. I checked the reCAPTCHA site for another example of an audio challenge and their sample doesn't sound nearly as garbled: http://recaptcha.net/learnmore.html

Still, I think there are multiple audio challenges on the skynet site, so if someone can analyse the audio track, they should see if they can analyze them all (how to get them all anyway ?)

here are a few of the audio challenges I got, by clicking the 'Get a new challenge' link in the lightbox:

[update: I'm removing the links since they were really messing up the forum format, and it seems they are legitimate (if low quality) CAPTCHA audio challenges]

those are legitimate audio captchas, and the weird background noises are possibly there to prevent automated processing (they also make it really difficult for me to solve those captchas, I feel sorry for anyone who has to use them).

also, there is a password box on the products page if you mouseover the 'Products' headline. I'm not that fluent in javascript, but I think it's not functional? can someone check?

also also, hi. Smile

You have to hover on the 'P' of the 'Products' headline to get the password to appear. Nice catch.

The id of the div you need to hover onto to make the password box appear is 'easteregg'. The password field belongs to a 'pwform' form.
AT quick glance I wonder if this password box doesn't really submit anywhere for now. There's a piece of javascript on the page:
Code:

$("#pwform").submit(function() {
$(".error").fadeIn(500).fadeTo(1000, 1).fadeOut(500);
return false;
});

I also found areas that seem clickable but don't do anything (for now) on Testimonials page (the job titles like 'System Analyst').

Did anybody else request a sample chip on the outreach page?

They ask for your address and a paragraph about why you need one of their chips. Any opportunity to give Skynet my info is a good one for this arg.

Here is my premise for needing one.

Currently I am in the process of researching and building a garden maintenance robot. It is being designed to water plants, fertilize gardens, trim bushes and even cut the grass. The only problem so far is the safety factor. Due to large blades and dangerous chemicals in use, current chips and programming are unable to correctly engage in safety protocols. I mean, we wouldn't want the machine to accidentally cut anyone or make a bomb with fertilizer. This is exactly why the new module is required. Thank you for your consideration.

I requested one too, citing technical knowledge and creativity as reasons I should be considered a candidate. I also sent an email to their address infoSPLATskynetresearch.com asking if there are specific characteristics they are looking for in a candidate.

We'll see.

They're also not particularly subtle about their META tags...

Code:
meta name="keywords" content="skynet, terminator, robots"

And yes, the password form never submits; it ALWAYS comes back "ACCESS DENIED" no matter what you type in. Rolling Eyes

ETA: Where's the audio in question?

At the bottom of the "ENHANCEMENT MODULE - MODEL 101" section, click on the "Request a Module" link; a form should open in a lightbox, with a reCAPTCHA check at the end. Instead of entering the CAPTCHA words, click the 'Get an audio challenge" icon to get the audio we were talking about above.

As I said, each time I get a different audio, so your mileage may vary.

I too have submitted a request. I went with a more military-friendly approach. I said I was working on something akin to their 'Search & Rescue bot", but with a more 'human-like' upper body (not only for practical purposes, but as to not further stress an already panicked, injured soldier). Also, the use of hands (as opposed to the claws) would be better suited for a 'medic bot' as it could handle our existing equipment (syringes, scissors/scalpels, and even weapons (if the bot needed to protect the patient in a combat zone). Basically this thing would replace a human medic in the combat zone.

I've managed to save (one?) of the reCAPTCHA audio file(s). Maybe someone else can make better sense of it? I can hear numbers, but the background doesn't make it very clear...

Nevermind, thebruce struck this one down...

Also, the Voicemail message (from the Skynet VCard) reamins unchanged. Was hoping since the website updated the message on the machine might have, but no dice...

hee! I've requested as well...
Quote:
I currently have two robot pets - and they are quite the pair! Intelligent and helpful around the house and cute! They guard the house when I'm not home, and they keep me company as I sleep. However, they are quite vocal, and don't quite understand the concept of annoyance. They can also be fairly messy and careless with things *in* the house. I believe that your enhancement module will help them learn these simple, basic etiquette techniques. I'm certain it will also increase even their other skills and abilities. Perhaps one day, they will be able to go out and help other people, bringing joy and safety to those in need!

and yes, the captcha audio is standard captcha audio...
would have been a neat little trick though, having it pull customized audio from skynetresearch.com instead of using captha's templates.

I requested a module too:

"I would like to use the enhancement module for a traffic surveillance drone I am working on. The drone is intended to hover over highways and other big roads and to gather and report information about accidents and traffic jams.
With the enhancement module it could operate more autonomous and process the data more effective."

I hope my English is good enough for them... ^__^
