Actually, the Spartans were the elite unit that saved Athen's pathetic ass during the Persian wars.... They were a military culture in ancient greece and while athens focused on academics, they focused on training and war. During the battle at Thermoplyae only three hundred Spartans held off the persian army long enough for the Athenian army to make an organized retreat. The battle at Thermopylae ended with every last Spartan fighting until they were killed. This distraction gave enough time for the rest of the Greek army to retreat into southern Greece.

They had a war between themselves aswell, athens and their friends got lucky and kicked spartan butt. Razz But what I ment was that they weren't a unit but more a greek province.

More Conjecture

Hey I may be wrong but in the books doesn't it say spartan's can't have kids.

In "Hey Dad" when she says "Hey Dad" as he walks into the room, the interrogator says "There's a spike in the baseline" -- even though the "you're telling the truth" sound plays, it appears there's something fishy about her calling him Dad.

Perhaps, just perhaps, she is tied to the Sleeping Princess -- the "dad" knows it, but she doesn't. All she knows is that she's "special" and he's not really her dad.

All conjecture

What I dont get is who the hell is Kamal? If he is indeed the male in Say Something, that means that the whole date line gets messed up, since it was assumed that it was Jersey on the date with the Woman. But listening to the beginning of Derga, then switching straight over to Say Something, it's very clear that it is the same person who is on both the date and with Durga. Unless he gave her a fake name, I'm confused. We need more clips.

ps - sorry everyone for not going 3 hours out of my way to unlock Four Goats Crying or Very sad

I've been wrestling with the same idea, listening and re-listening to the clips. I'm pretty damn sure now that the voice of the guy Jan is hiring to spy on her BF is Kamal, and entirely distinct from Jersey. Now to listen more carefully to them all and sort out the Kamals from the Jerseys. If it helps, it seems like Kamal has a slightly rougher/throatier voice than Jersey.

I just noticed that "Hey Dad" doesn't have any tape rewind soudns, which makes sense, because it fits right in between the other two interrogation excerpts. maybe this will help in piecing the others together - it sounds like the sound signifies the passage of time or change of scene.

Ghosting

She asks "Can you ghost someone for me?"

It seems that she wants him (Kamal?) to ghost the "other woman" so she can talk to her boyfriend and have him think its his lover and not her.

Just a thought.

OK, 2 things...

1)There's a clip between Yes or No and Hey Dad... There's gotta be

2) These are all originally MP3 files then renamed as wav files... They'll work the same, but the distinction is made in some editors...

Just FYI and interesting, but not unusual...

true enough, with the Delian league (i just took a full semester of greek civilization). I just didn't want people thinkin that the Spartan's were not elite fighters, because they were the premiere land fighters in greece.

Transcript for Hey Dad:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Cop: Yeah, I had this Physics teacher. He passed me on my 12G on one condition. I had to promise him that I'd never take another Physics class again. Nah, I guess I'm not too smart. Not like you, Miss James. But you know what I am?
Jan: I don't know.
Cop: Yes or No.
Jan: No (True)
Cop: Good at my job. [door opens]
Cop 2: I'm required to inform you that the door will log your ID.
James: Thanks.
Cop 2: It's the father.
Cop: Come in.
Jan: Hey, Dad. (True)
Cop: Ooh, now there's a spike on the baseline.
James: Can I take her home?
Cop: Not yet. We've got to take a statement, do some tests, standard operating procedure. The MP's only brought her here because we have a lab onsite.
Jan: I wasn't doing anything.
James: What kind of tests?

i somehow think the "beer.wav" file will fit in between "yes or no" and "hey dad", since she was talking about drinking during the "pqi" file...

Wink

Anyone else notice a change in the tone on the Lie detector thing when she says "Hey dad"?.. Has she lied yet? Because that sounds different than the tone it made earlier in the .wav ... *shrug*
