[PC] World of Warcraft I have just picked up this game last night and can already see why so many people are addicted. But I can't find many people to play with.
I know that this is a late and many people are already settled in WoW, but I figured that it might help to have a thread where we can post what our character name is, server, alliance or horde, etc... I checked already and couldn't find if this was brought up anywhere else.
My Information
Name: Noxletum
Server: Dark Iron
Horde
Lvl 10 Tauren Warrior
hope to find some people to play with...

Paracelsus, level 43 Tauren Warrior and leader of the Neo-Conservative Revolution
Trithemius, level 16 twink Undead mage
Both are on Dark Iron.
Also, Dante's got the trial version, and he's on Dark Iron. His character is Virgilae. MutantSquirrel and a couple other guys are on the Garithos server, which has something like an hour wait time.
You guys on Draka and Garithos come over, and I'll run you through RFC and WC this weekend. We'll centralize and create for ourselves a new world order.

Yea, Like Rood said, I'm on Dark Iron with like a lvl 5 mb Undead Warlock and on Garithos with a level 13 Undead Mage. Both character names are Virgilae I think I might stick with Garithos mainly because I've only had one night of wait time, and I'm thinkin that was a one time server issue, because I tried to get on last night at about 11 o clock and at 9 o clock the night before and didn't get a second of wait time.
I talked to Mutant, and he vehemently doesn't want to move over and I haven't had a chance to ask Omalice yet.
Also, Bmac, the guy some of you H2 players may have played with, a Hbo guy, is also starting up a trial this week on Garithos or whatever server we end up playing on. Also, there's a local guy around here who I got to pick up the game again and will create a guy on Garithos whenever he gets his subscription restarted.
I'm loving this game <3

Confessions of a WoW addict I love WoW!!!
Too much...I had to quit. Cold turkey-ed it. I would rather play online with ppl I have never spoken to than have dinner with my family.
It is all rather embarrassing really. I am a bit older than the "typical" WoW player...38 to exact. I can remember playing the original Gary Gygax's "Dungoens and Dragons"...books, multifacets dice, minitures of litte knights and monters.
When I discovered WoW, I thought "WOW!". Now I can see what I could not image from the game I used to play. Months later I had built a decently geared ProtWarr, joined a great guild and had several online "friends". At the cost of precious time with my wife and 3 kids. I found that I didn't have enough time to spend on the game in the evenings after work, so I started getting out of bed at 3:00 AM, making coffee and logging on. I would spend several hours playing, go to work and spent even more time on the internet looking up stats, gear, mobs anything that would help me while I was playing. I was obsessed. I couldn't NOT think about WoW. I talked about the game to my co-workers. They could not understand why I got so much enjoyment from this, they just didn't get it. My wife "gripped" at me about the time I spent on the computer. I can remember yelling at my wife to come and change our 9 month old daughters diaper because I was busy being a "tank" for a Gnomer raid with a bunch of L20 somethings.
Morals of this story: I am pathetic - yes, I allowed this GAME to interfer with more important duties and responsiblities - yes, World of Warcraft is inherently addictive! - definitely!!!
As a noob you will see and interact with higher level player characters. You will want to be like them (tough, strong, running around blasting everything to hell and back). Once you get to a higher level, you will need better gear, faster mount, better DPS weapons...something. The game strings you along. You will never be satified.
Advice:
To those of you who are currently playing WoW: Monitor how much time you spend per day online. Seriously, time yourself. You may be suprised.
To those who are thinking about joining: Reconsider. Your time is far more valuable. We are on this Earth for a small undetermined amount of time. Don't waste any of it playing a game that has no conclusion.

Finding people when starting an MMO can be hard and losing track with friends. Here is a list I found of peoples Virtual Characters that are archived for WoW http://gamefriends.com/search/index/id/849
