Looks like they've got them installed in stores all around the country. I wonder how much the actual security systems do compared to what they say they do Razz

Can someone go to one of these comic shops and see if the owners have additional info?

There is one in Sacramento down the street from my girlfriend's. Alas, we are both out of town today but will be there tomorrow.

This got me thinking...and Googling. Turns out there are some legit companies named "SkyNet Security"

But this...I don't know: http://www.scallinuxsystems.com/SkyNet. Something is going on here, Cyberdyne is mentioned here: http://www.scallinuxsystems.com/SkyNet/skynet_development_plan.html

And Kyle Reese, as well as other significant characters, are listed here: http://www.scallinuxsystems.com/SkyNet/SkyNet_Final_Report.doc

On the other hand, Thomas "Neo" Anderson is also on the distribution list, which doesn't make much sense. Nor does this: http://www.scallinuxsystems.com/SkyNet/skynetVSmatrix.html

It's probably unrelated, but someone put a lot of effort into it, which just seems like a strange thing to do.

scalinux systems

Interestingly enough this is supposedly a business website but has a lot of interesting connections.

If this is a real business website then I don't think I would buy webspace from them. also it would be one heck of a coincidence regarding all those connections for somebody to just be passing time making up skynet/terminator stuff.

there is definitely a lot of references to the termination genre not to mention if you look up some of the stuff referenced it all has to do with defense contractors or that nature.

Also the guy supposedly running it...at least the name as I googled it... is connected with boeing and military contracts??

Maybe putting too much into it but there seem to be a lot of interconnections there.

just checked and the business and address seem to be fake and a whois doesn't really tell anything

When I was searching for company names once, I found several actual companies registered in the state of Florida with names along the lines of SkyNet, Cyberdyne, etc... Even "Benthic Petroleum" is registered in the state of Florida.

I might be able to stop by the St. Marks place in the video this weekend.... I will definitely try my best to free up some time to head down to NYC this weekend. Smile

Has no one been to one of those comic book stores yet? I am 30 minutes away from the San Jose one and will be going in like three hours unless someone posts that its not worthwhile...

Why else would they post locations if you weren't meant to go to them and check "get something" from them for the ARG? I hope I don't go home empty handed...

Excuse me for the double post, but I just called the comic book store and asked the guy about what the deal was. I asked if it was worth driving to go see, and he wasn't exactly forthright about the information.

I asked him if there was skynet stuff there and he said that there was a camera installed with a blinking light. I asked him if it was worth it and he sort of just said, "I think it's exciting". I wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or extremely secretive about the stuff surrounding it... I tried to egg him for more info, but he just said he knew nothing and that there was no pamphlet for skynet or anything special. Didn't even answer my question if the skynet camera was even plugged in... sketchy.

There's never anything in Oklahoma, of course; but I hope one of y'all will get out there and find out what they've got for us. There's no way the site is just promoting these stores for no reason--they must have something for us.

I went to two Comic shops here in phoenix, there wasn't much they had besides the cameras up and stickers in the windows warning about the surveilance. I will upload videos that I took to Skynet.
