[SPEC] NO-INCOMING-CALLS PAYPHONES

I was at the 10:44 spot this morning with the group. The two phones at the coord didn't accept incoming calls. In retrospect, I'm guessing that we should have picked up the handsets every 15 to 30 seconds to see if we could 'answer' the call. I suspect that the payphones probably do not have ringers (bells?) in them to alert the 'crewman' of the incoming call. So pick up guys! It's a thought. Once the time gets near, start checking the handset!![\SPEC]

So what do you think will happen about the missed coords? Same time tomorrow? I think different..

Check this SPEC

1. I haven't heard the .wav files yet but they seem from posts to be Mellissa's memories. Is it possible that some how these are situation
reports from the crew? Mellissa says that she is hearing voices that she
thinks belongs to them. Could these .wav files be her stranded crew
members and are we supposed to help her find them?

2. I think that the GPS activity will continue until all 200 or so
"go hot" even if we unlock all the .wav files first.

3. The 777 counter could be total axons/completed tasks that we must
achieve throughout the whole ARG. Someone mentioned that 777 is
supposed to have a biblical definition of completeness or fullness. Could
this be the real beginning of this ARG as some have speculated?
After we get all GPS axons could we have 550+ tasks to fullfill through
a variety of puzzles and methods?

GO!!

Trout me if thsi has been said before, but I have some [SPEC] to share...

I think WE'RE the way the covenant finds Earth in halo 2. If the flea is covenant AI, it could easily be telling Melissa to send out an SOS. As we verify axons, and essentially form a giant network for MElissa/flea, once we finish they could broadcast a signal for Covenant dropships to pick up on, sending them here and starting halo 2. Just a thought.

Crew members

We need a list of all known crew members regardless of the reason:

We are the crew.
We need to help find the crew.
Mellissa is looking for them.
The names are the passwords or response to "shall I repeat or continue?"
[/i]she does say that after we say her name that she wants ours

Pick one.

Things are extremely slow and my PC is ancient. I can't research it with
things the way they are.
Plus I have to get to the next axon. I hope this time the phone rings.

Is the .wav open for the 5:31 slot and if so is a crew members name
mentioned in it? Please post it if so.

Much_lifting

I was at the phone for much_lifting Raleigh, 13:23 PDT (4:23 EST).

The phone was at the North Carolina Museum of Natural History, near the bathrooms. It rang right on schedule!I didn't think to look for the phone in a building until it was almost too late! I was expecting it to be a phone booth. If you're having trouble locating the phone, check buildings near the location.

There were several other people there, though we all were able to hear it due to the repeats. Sorry, this isn't all that important. Just a field report! Wink

God I hope so.

If that is the case, we have no choice but to go on.

EVERYBODY LISTEN!!!

Don't go messin' with the future. Don't even think to try to change it.
Now I'm not a violent man by nature but if anyone here f%*ks up the
Covenant invasion then the Master Chief won't have to kick there ass
and I will be so pissed that I'll kick all o' yours.

Halo 2 must come to pass.

GO!!!

The situation we find ourselves in does not seem to add up to us playing the role of Melissa's crew.

1. Melissa has said she is from another time. She has also made various statements about the inadequacy of her environment (the server) and how primitive it is. This only furthers the argument that the AI had travelled from a (possibly distant) future.

2. For us to be the crew she is looking for, would would have had to be a part of the ship she was on and be able to know all about her and to how to fix her. But we can't, so therefore we aren't.

I would then put forward that a search should be made for her crewmembers. I would recommend a net search of some type, as they would also be involved in searching for other crew (if separated) or their AI. Then again, they may not be on the net, possibly not being able to grasp the use of our 'primitive' computer interfaces/architceture. </spec>

Maybe she'll realize her crew are gone or in a different time and we become her "new" crew?

i think that is a typo - as it is highly unlikely that the last 4 digits of both the lat and long are the same - and that coord (after some scouting) is firmly in the middle of someones backyard, with no payphones within 1/4 mile...

any ideas?

Yup I went there too (after Union Square I planned to camp out for as many hours as it took!). Others have confirmed that there are no phones at some Axons no? I thought there was one in DC that was behind a fence and out of order.

NEW SPEC ON MY PART!

Remember the 3 and 4 minute gaps between places? There are around 210, 220 locations right? And that number 777 at the top of the page? Maybe the gap number is how many times each axon will fire, and theyll total up to 777. Sound plausible?

It's the best theory for the 777 so far.

That's what I saw when I scouted earlier today. I'm not sure what to do...

I find it interesting that the two Palo Alto coordinates seem to be almost in a straight line vertically.

I don't see anything to do except see if the coords are updated...and go there and scout further.
