[39C] Card Combinations
Thread to post theories about how cards are connected

During my long absence from the forum, I remembered that on the 39 clues forum, someone posted how cards were connected in the missions. So far, we know these combinations:

Mission 0-Cards 26, 29, and cards 10, 41, 52, 59 if you include the games.
Mission 1-Cards 4, 5, 15, 27, 49.
Mission 2-Cards 8. 12, 17, 21, 31, 47.
Book 1-Card 3 and maybe card 6 if you consider Thomas Jefferson's "most illuminating trip to Paris".
Book 2-Cards 11, 14 (the Janus probably wanted to intercept Franklin's and Mozart's messages through Marie Antoinette), 20.

This means that if we can find a combination of about 5 cards or more, we can probably find out what Mission 3 is all about.

Anybody willing to try......?

 The Sword Thief?
I want to try!

Mission 3 possible card combinations:

7,23,39,44 and 50.

Salem Witches found a clue and didn't tell the Lucian HQ. There is a rumor that the clue has been spotted. Now, agents from all the branches is looking for it.

kind of like that?

cards:44,45,7,24,40(i think Alana and Lilya will be better than Klose and Victor since him is more like to find a clue in chemestry)

But the only clue (to the clue) they have is a mysterious listening device the lucians made...
Witchcraft did made this clue? Will the branches find it?It's up to you to find out

Good point. Gordon is not really a top Lucian agent like Alana and he wont be trusted with an important Clue-Hunting mission. The thing is, isn't Alana supposed to be in India monitoring the Janus (card 17)?

P.S: I noticed that the missions usually have a location, one or two agents and some secrets. So far, we have a location and lots of agents but no secrets.

Yup. I tried to put agents from all the branches. I guess we could put 55 and 45. A Tomas clue that the Order of the Golden Fleece found then sent to US. Then when the agents transporting it stopped by Salem, MA and Lucians found out. They put a listening device in the room the Tomas agents are staying in(there might be a mini game in this point. Like a find it-ish game). They find out they were clue bearers. They tortured the Tomas agents until one of them finally told them. They decided that they would hide the clue then tell the Lucian HQ but the HQ stripped them of their power. The last game before the clue could be like a witch potion game that you put the ingredients in a certain order.

In like a week or so, we'll know about the 3rd mission that will come with book 3. The "secret" codes in the other books kind of hinted about the missions.

Fantastic theory! I like it! Chances of this happening are quite high.

Btw, i thought mission 3 was coming out on April 9.

 Mission 3

Based on new evidence uncovered in book 3, we now know that mission 3 is about the Hope Diamond and which may involve 5 cards which are cards 14, 24, 35, 37 and 55.

Looking at the last two missions, there is only one question:

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. That is the question.

All missions will definitely have a location card so where is mission 3 suppose to take place?

We only have the following location cards left in our arsenal:

11-Hidden Notes
19-Monument Valley
28-CERN
43-Bletchley Park
44-Salem Witches
53-Alcatraz
54-The Northern Race

I say Bletchly Park because it has not been mentioned yet.

As with mission 3, the "card combination" was cards 7, 24, 35, 37 and 55.

According to Scholastic's own forum, this is what one of the moderators said:
Quote:
Good news! Card combos will be available in Card Pack #2, which goes on sale next Tuesday, June 2nd, along with Book #4: Beyond the Grave.

Good luck!
Moderator Jen B.

Hopefully this is not a false hope but I have a feeling we may need 2 copies of the same card..... AND SPEND MORE MONEY! Laughing
