I was an early proponent of cracking it open, but I thought there might be a sign that it was opened before or something to suggest it's fixable once broken open, which Relia doesn't suggest. So now I'm thinking the PMs need to be more overt in their call for this action. Unless there's a good reason from the game materials to do it (other than being "bold"), I suggest you wait.

Listen to your heart, or whatever. I say we do WHAT WE THINK we should do instead of worrying about doing WHAT "THEY" WANT us to do.
I mean c'mon, it's almost like we're begging for PM intervention here. The poll is brilliant so let's see majority rule..

Well, it would be pretty interesting to see what would happen if you cracked/smashed/cut it open, but doing so to a piece of awesometastic swag would be absolutely heart-breaking. Well, for me, anyway.

This is indeed a tough one. I know I would personally have trouble destroying an ARG artifact. I can't even bring myself to exchange the foreign money from Stop the International. But perhaps it might be what they are looking for. I say we wait a bit. If we can gather more information on the paths, maybe we can find an answer without Relia having to smash something so awesome.
haha I still have my money from the Stop the International. I keep telling myself I'm gonna go to the bank and get it exchanged but I like having all those crazy bills!
The only thing thats really holding me back from saying smash it is the fact that the trophy doesn't look like it was opened before to put something in it. The only way is if these guys knew what they were doing and resealed it themselves which I find highly unlikely. My guess as far as Chuck's tweets go is that he's gonna find stuff out through his detective work and give us a long string of clues leading to something big...hopefully

I can confirm that there is NO evidence the turkey has been taken apart and reassembled, or that it would be possible for it to look as it did if they had. The turkey trophy is a standard gag item you can purchase here:
http://www.funnyemployeeawards.com/trophies/turkey-trophy.asp
And I can see no evidence whatsoever that it would be possible to put anything inside the turkey.
If they want me to smash it -- and I am VERY reluctant to smash my ARG swag which I was so excited to get -- then it is only the act of smashing it which would stand to advance the game (in my opinion); I don't think we'd find any more clues physically within the turkey.

Looks like this turkey is pardoned

An honest assessment. Please excuse my penchant for destruction.

This is going to be the Turkey that laid the golden eggs. You open it up and there's nothing inside but turkey.

Reassemble the dynasty fund, post a picture of it, clearly state that it has been repaired and will _remain_ repaired for some time.
I realize you tried reassembly a little, but didn't make it terribly clear-- and, now, it's disassembled again.
Anyways, leave it repaired for a day or so. Gives chuck a chance to snoop around, if nothing else. If we don't get a reaction, then it's time to smash that bird. The show must go on!
Or so I think, in this narrowly contested... contest.

to smash or not to smash... that is the question
I would have already broke that thing apart because imho it seems like all this waiting around is slowing down some of the action. Chuck was previously an almost secondary character and the twitter account must be for a reason.
Be bold, Choose a path, birds pooping, artefacts smashed, detective work... that's enough for me - crack that open what's the worst that could happen?
edit: and the base of the trophy looks completely different than the one in the example trophy you found for purchase online. If they switched bases at all....

posting a picture of its reassembly is a good idea. maybe wait 12-24 hours for character reaction, and if they don't say anything you smash it.
and judging from the store catalog entry posted above, a dremel isn't necessary - just throw it off the roof of your house or use a hammer or whatever.

All of Chuck's recent tweets lament destruction of artifacts...I say reassemble as neatly as possible.
