 		Do you think S means anythin by the Roses are FOO, and so on tweet?
Also, Intim now has definitely confirmed S has experienced temporal fracturing for some reason.

In case you hadn't figured it out, the FOO is referring to the hex code for red (#FF0000), and OOF is blue (0000FF). The poem all together of course is "roses are red, violets are blue, bet you can't count down all the way to two". The poem might just be more nonsense from Essy's fractured mind, but perhaps it's suggesting that something's going to happen involving Intim's countdown to hibernation clock?

I think im a little late but im joining in. I've just spent a few minutes trying to work out whats going on and ive seen the "their world ended" website and just set up a twitter account to follow this stuff but im obviously quite far behind, so is there any where/one where i can catch up without scrolling through 11 pages here?

I might have worked out a little bit here. Apparently Simon Pegg is currently making a film called "The World's End" which is a futuristicy sci-fi thing as far as I can workout. Do we think there's a link??

As I've said I'm wayyy behind on whats going on right now so I suppose that this is already out there. Also, I've noticed the clock ticking down on the site - do we know what its ticking towards???

 		we know that this has to do with the halo video game series, but we don't know exactly -what- for (it could be for either halo wars, which comes out next week, or the halo 3 ODST expansion that comes out in the fall, or for something else entirely)

as far as the countdown, intimation appears to go into hiberation for a week (6 days) which means so far that intim is unable to reply to any messages on twitter, or update the site, or upload another youtube video. once intim comes out of hiberation, the countdown changes to 24 hours until they go back into hiberation. that means that intim is available to interact with until the next day. after that, it's back into hiberation until the next wednesday.

Could it be a hint to look into the source code of one of the sites? The mp3 file was found there but maybe there's something else. I'd look but i dont have a clue about the hmtl code or whatever it is thats used.

Also, just looking at intim's twitter, it's following Jane McGonigal. Didnt she do ILB? Not saying thats proof of anything but i doubt that if this was a fan-game they'd dare use all the ILB and Iris stuff and show McGonigal.

Jane was one of the crew for ILB, specifically she was the actress posing as "Dana".

The MP3 file wasn't really "hidden", it was freely available to play in the flash anim on the homepage (The bar in the middle with the subtle "Play" icon on it). I just grabbed the file that flash anim points to directly. As for the F00 00F being a hint, typically colours in HTML are defined with 2 bits (RRGGBB) rather than 1 (RGB). If it was "Roses are #FF0000, Violets are #0000FF" I'd definitely say it's a clue, but as it is, it's far to ambiguous.

It seems this game is using all the Halo ARGs (The Cortana Letters, ILoveBees and Iris) as a starting point, so reviewing those would definitely be a good place to start. Followed (Only if you want to, of course) by the rest of the Halo canon, the books, games and graphic novels, to give you a much deeper grounding in what happened, and what (may be) happening here.

 		Well, I may be brand new to this site as I just registered about a minute ago, but from having extremely long experience with the Haloverse and have read all it's books, it seems like this is obviously Halo related, it's somewhere between the beginning of Halo Wars and Halo 1 because Melissa was created somewhere in 2540 somtin like that. So this could be something as to a Covenant AI stand point. This could be a forerunner AI because it hasn't communicated with anyone this far yet. It's advanced but jumbled so it could be rampant or in the early stages of Rampancy. But the Covenant would be the most plausible thought because it knows of Melissa and although Forerunners have been around the Humans for so long, they haven't really been watching them so far as we know. This could be official because it's well thought out, and it's not well done since it's so close to release but yet it could be a fan playing around with us by spitting out random things about the Haloverse to make us think it's done officially and he might take advantage of the time and give the site's excuse for not being well done since Halo Wars comes out next week. Then again, it looks finished because the game came out in the rest of the world today and since the text seems to derive from British spelling and the last post by this "AI" was yesterday at 12:23 AM it could be finnished and the count down could be the remaining days/hours/minutes/seconds left for the US release.

This is totally confusing and the whole site might explode with info once the countdown's over. All I say to do is just sit and wait.

Having now read through everything and I think ive seen all there is to see for the minute would guess this is office Bungie for ODST. Simply because it looks like its going to grow quite large and Halo Wars is released far far too soon for this to be its promotion (intim appears to be looking into gaining a voice and the story of the guy's out of cryo will surely grow) and also the Bungie team have done something for all the halo games (the letters, ILB, Iris) it just seems logical that they'd do another one for the next game. They wont have done one for Halo Wars because its of a different format and probably doesnt lend itself to an ARG as much as a FPS does.

But whether it be grassroots or official, Halo Wars or ODST im in.

Okay, here's how I break this one down.

Intimation has been referring to Melissa in the past tense always, not the future tense, and has been describing her as "Limited" and "Ancient". Given this point of reference, I'm thinking that Intimation is supposed to come (long) after Melissa.

Given that Halo Wars is set in the time period before Halo 2, this cannot be a Halo Wars ARG. The timing is also far too close to the launch date of Halo Wars to be feasible as a promotion strategy.

It is possible that this is for Halo ODST, but that game is set before Halo 3, which would make the events in "Iris" a real problem canon-wise, and wouldn't be as far ahead of "ILoveBees" as Intimation is intimating.

Another point is that the Crew of the Lewis and Clark appear to be balanced for Exo-archaeology mostly, with very little in the way of a fighting force present. This doesn't mean it won't go that way in the future, but at the moment it's difficult to draw a line from this ARG to any of the Halo games in themselves, though this is certainly an ARG set within the Halo universe.

I believe it is in our best interests to follow this one, for the moment, and reserve judgement as to what it may be.
