If you're reffering to this site, There are actually three of them. J. Wesley Mitchell and Kenneth A. Hoffman are two seperate people. Nice try, though. It's gotten us about as far as any of the other "clues"...

I know... it seems like they put so much effort into the sites, it's wierd and frustrating that it's just sitting there

I gotta say, I agree with those guys from earlier. This sounds WAY WAY too much like the Neil Blomkamp short they mentioned, "Alive in Joburg", to be coincidental, I think.

By this point, I think we can call that 100% confirmed. Case in point: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1136608/

Comingsoon.net had a vote the other day for most anticipated movie of 2009 and District 9 was on the list. I voted for it and saw that it had received .1 % of the vote!

Well, at least we know the movie is still on...

Just a quick update (but literally the only in months) IMDB.com updated the cast list.

A lot of people have been emailing me saying Ghost Spy, a blog which is run by a crew member on a set of a movie being filmed in South Africa, is viral for District 9.

http://ghostspy.wordpress.com/

The user posts under 'Spy Films', which is a company Neill Blomkamp directs for.

Originally people thought it was for the new Ghostbusters, but now people are thinking it is District 9.

It's got proton packs and the Stay Puft man. Really sounds like Ghostbusters to me. I doubt it's the actual sequel though. Maybe some kind of higher quality fan made deal. I mean, the one Ghostbuster is female and there's a crew hand who looks at the supposedly "hidden" camera for a split second.

Im on board, but looking at this, there seems to be not alot going on at the moment... I think I will go sleeper until I get emails attacking me.

If you need me I'll be in bed.

Edit: At that ghost spy thing... I think its a spoof... looking at the pics I would say either for a car advert, or some porno "MuffBusters" maybe?

To jump back out of sleeper mode for a second, the D-9 ARG just got a mention from CHUD. This should put more people on the trail for this game, and should maybe kick Sony back to work. Hope to start talking to you all again soon.

I hope this thing finally goes live. They set up some sweet stuff and just let it sit.
