Ok, I downloaded the files and

stitched them together in the order they appear in the quote. It sounds like there's some backwards words in there, amongst a lot of static and breathing noises. I don't have a program to undo the backmasking; anyone with the proper tech wanna take a stab at it?

Donnie didn't have to die at the end. He chooses to. The artifact (plane engine) enters the past through a corruption. The manipulated Dead version of frank (the one donnie shoots toward the end. Uses his supernatural power to go back in time to donnie and help him live. He had to have donnie do all the things he did so that (after all was said and done) donnie's mom would take sparkle motion to LA, which is where the plane engine ACTUALLY came from. So at the end of the movie, (for this part TU = tangent universe and MD = manipulated dead) after the party MD Gretchen dies so she can help donnie kill MD Frank. Once MD Frank was dead he opens a wormhole and tells donnie to wake up and leave bed. It's important to know that the engine (artifact) is from a tangent universe. MD Frank and the others help donnie understand what's happening and have him play out the events as needed. So in the end the plane is in the air so it can drop the engine. In short.... Corruption engine == BAD and Wormhole engine (at the end) == GOOD. The engine has a real universe reason to be there. It' s from OUR universe. Donnie didn't have to die. The beep at the beginning and end from outside is frank... Real frank... trying to get donnie outta bed so he can live. Therefore Adam doesn't HAVE to die, which may be why he needs our help.
