Justin Timberlake's MTV show "The Phone"
An ARG type game show?

Justin Timberlake was on the debut of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" last night and showed a clip of his new show called "The Phone". The clip made me think it was ARG-like.

Here's a link to an article about it, which reads, in part...

Quote:
Justin Timberlake is to add to his growing portfolio by producing a television show for MTV.

The 27-year-old will work on a new reality game show called The Phone, which will see each show beginning with two hidden mobile phones ringing at opposite ends of a city.

People who answer the phone will be given five seconds to decide if they want to play for a chance of a cash prize.

They are then given a mission to complete for the prize.

MTV said The Phone would be reminiscent of films such as The Bourne Identity and The Game. <snip>

If your interested in watching it, "Late Night" is on hulu. The discussion starts at 30:05.

I saw that too - I think it's brilliant, like an extended candid camera Very Happy

I don't suspect this will be a kind of game for 'net peeps though. Just more reality tv Smile

They have aired two seasons here in the netherlands. The show is brilliant. I have really liked it.

The phone ring, people awnserd it. And get instructions too meet up. Then they get assignments through the city which will tell more about the history of the city.

They need to get some kind of keys for the final game. How more keys they get how more money they will earn. At the final they need to get to the game master who has a briefcase with money in it. They never got him personally only the briefcase.
