I feel like the point of the blog-post there was in order to make it not a bad experience for us. He didn't want to be responsible for disappointing us, his rabid, Whedon-esque fan base. By coming clean, he's left us with the knowledge that what is going to come out of this is going to be quirky and satirical, not a 'serious ARG.'

In fantasy novel terms, he's let us know that Deceptech is going to be a Terry Pratchett novel, not a Tolkien epic. Whereas if he'd just let us dive into this without warning, we would have thought it was like Song Of The Sorcelator: Return Of The Witchalocks II.

I kind of got that Downstream wasn't going to be the most serious of games the moment NightHawk first "rick-rolled" us. Add in the cat-macro language on the front page and I was thoroughly convinced that this game would either be very silly and/or somehow involve a certain imageboard I hesitate to name.

I, for one, am excited to be involved in a game that isn't going to be taking itself too seriously. I think we all have an idea of Dave's sense of humor, and this game is really going to let that out. Let the good times roll, baby!

Jelloarm- if Dave is Whedon, is Downstream the equivalent of Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog? Wink
