That AI shows no signs of rampancy.

lol. Yeah, i mean when in Master Cheifs lifetime would he be driving around in a car with a 17 year old girl? But the "certain trouble we cant get into" does pose a question. Why would an ODST be that scared? XD

I agree. I don't think this has anything to do with something as simple as a Spartan in hiding. All the Spartans are 100% dedicated to their "jobs." They've been doing it since they were 6 and don't know anything else. Also the "Daughter of the Master Chief" thing is just WAY too "Days of our Lives."

I would lean more towards the idea that he is an ex ONI Agent. Marine slang for that would be "ONI Spook." That could also be categorized as "Special, Special Forces."

think of the previous month or so as a entrance into the actual puzzle...its getting you familure with the story and the characters but starting TODAY is where the real puzzle starts. Today is when the real challenge gets going. The rest was just prequel background information.

Agreed.

It's not angry or jealous or anything like durandal, its just trying to piece together its own existance. Unless of course he means by seeemingly rampant that it has been rampant in devouring as much information as possible and spreading itself throughout jersey's cpu.

Lol yeah but i was just saying how they aren't super special just ordinary special.

On the plus side, hearing more of jen's father in law abiding makes him sound more and more and more like the chief. In fact im gonna go boot up two betrayals, listen to the voice actor then come back and play sound again. BRB.

Edit: Nope I'm just sleep deprived and hearing things.

No, no, he does sound like the MC voice actor.

Hey don't worry, didn't some people already say that they believe the REAL ARG didn't start until today?

That's one intricate pre-game, I'll tell you that.

Well, I'm one of the folks who missed pillow. Sorry about that, but we had two of the phones in the Longmont axon covered and neither rang. I did get one of the escape axons, though, so I don't feel so bad. I'll try to swing by the pillow coordinate again tomorrow, perhaps find the right payphone. One of us stuck around to search the area more thoroughly, so maybe he'll know where it is by then.

Theorizer, while your avatar is cute, it is rediculously large. Can you shrink it?

Scumbag, it was an accidental use of a meaningful word when I called Durga Rampant. I hadn't actually been referring to an AI's rampancy (as is common in the marathon/halo'verse), I was just referring to the fact that it acts with no regard to any laws or rules or people (it was more than willing to go after admirals and dig into the past of someone who really wanted to stay hidden). Oh, and she killed poor Genie!

With Halo 2 only around 3 months away or so, there's no way that up till now was mere 'backstory'.

No reason to feel bad. Sounds like you've done more than your share already.

Don't feel bad, it happens. Great dedication to try again just in case!

But spooks aren't generally handily combat trained and even if some section 3 employees are, then what would an EX agent have to hide with his daughter, it all seems a bit fishy to me.

Also, although the chief and jan's dad sound alike, one is much gruffer than the other and to an extent that im not quite sure the same sounding voices can change so much in pitch and keep that clarity of tone. Then again, bungie only chose the best.

Now even if we missed some theres only one that nobody has heard and thats blip. Somebody activated axons on pillow, four_goats, you_could etc. and we really need to find these people and see if the posted ANYWHERE on the internet. Since were nearing the end of the day with two wavs left i think this would be a good idea if the phonrs don't start ringing tommorow with the same files...

no one ever said officially that this will lead to halo 2 information or demos or anything of the sort. It could be a whole new story in and of itself. Infact I pray it is. I believe that this game wasnt advertising halo 2 but halo 2 was advertising it. Dont ask me to explain its just a feeling. Or maybe hope.
