I would say this makes some kind of sense since the guy says that she can speak to either one, or both. it would be pretty hard to speak only to one, if you somehow wern't patched right in.

On Durga:
Quote:
The Gods scared and unable to combat him, requested Lord Shiva, Lord Bramha, Lord Vishnu to stop Mahishasura's tyranny. In answer, the three Gods combined their divine energy and summoned up a feminine form so brilliantly glaring that it illuminated the heavens. From the glow emerged Devi Durga, a beautiful yellow woman with ten arms riding a lion. Despite her grace she bore a menacing expression, for Durga was born to kill. [...]That is why she is 'Durgatinashini Durga', our mother goddess who destroys the evil, protects her devotees and establishes peace and prosperity on earth.

nice find and an interesting reference. When he said the name was "at least partially right" then I assume he made that reference, meaning "Durga" has a similar purpose (or just similarity) to that of the mythology

I agree with the above...

He said that he could talk to just her or just him... that implies that it's more internal rather than a projected sound from a speaker.

Because her first act was to kill Genie to protect herself.

Whispering through the speaker built into the chair?

I don't think Kamal was hacking into their brains per se, more like into some chip...sort of a build-in mobile phone people have in this reality. If it was simply their brain he would have been able to continue to track Aiden when he was in his room, but he says that Aiden's "offline" in Tuna.wav.

Wow, how do you guys come up with a "brain network" or "brainwave manipulation. C'mon, if this IS the halo universe, then no such thing exixts (albeit, as far as I know). The guy said Aiden and the girl passed an electronic something or other, so she could talk to them. It's not that hard to take two speakers and make a voice seem one sided, two sided, or in between.

Well I would hazard an early guess on the date thing that the story goes-

Parasites > Eyes > Beer > Our Hoodlums > Much Lifting > Meditape > ? > Say Something > Guilty > Message Saved > Tuna > Hi Aiden.

Work for anyone else? Makes sense that the 'Our Hoodlums' date is the one arranged by the guy's mother and the girl's mother, since the girl brings her mum up (like she has a boyfriend but her mum didn't know that!).

Make sense? Tell me what you reckon.

It doesnt normally take 15mins to take a leak... go now!

On the topic of combining them, i wouldnt personally bother until i had them all downloaded as that would mean some serious constant re-encoding and combining.

Just a note: we've passed 70/210. That means that in one day, the people of this ARG managed to get themselves to a third of the sites arbitrarily chosen (and constantly shifted). I think that deserves a big round of applause for everyone involved. And think: Including Dizzy, and assuming everything goes well with Emergency, we're only 9/60 axons short of getting every single WAV. I am quite impressed. Makes me wonder what the people down at Bungie think of our progress.

I'm getting the feeling that in this future, brainwaves are more like radiowaves practically. IE, when Jersey is talking to Durga, and she offers to look up an admiral, Jersey doesn't want to risk it because they have "packet guards". Then, in say_something, he again is talking about her encryption (in her mind, I assume). So, if he can obviously transmit as well as receive brainwaves, it wouldn't be a much bigger step to make it "sound" like it's coming from a particular posistion. Or, to simplify it more; he's not actually making her voice appear there at all, just making their minds hear her voice.

My thoughts exactly. And it's strange, this story doesn't seem to relate directly to Halo, but something of a Sub-story, or background story.
