Again, phonetically, you've got part of it.
The riddle isn't describing a door, but something else that can be opened and closed.
It's almost always described as something that it really isn't.
The correct description is actually spelled-out in the riddle.

You'd probably have more luck with Greek.

Is it Pandora's pithos? (Pandora's box)
Thanks to this puzzle, I've learned that Pandora's box would be more accurately described as "a jar" except that pithos was mistranslated. Smile

Very good, drizjr.
Did you understand how the word "Pandoras" was included?

The start of PANg
the end of corriDOR
the middle of unleAShed

Is that right?

I liked it! It was creative, and educational.

I've never made a puzzle before. I have an idea that I'm working on. Until then, if anyone else wants to go ahead and post a new puzzle... please do.

eta: Here's my first puzzle ever.

Very good so far, Rogi.

Maybe I should have separated the list like this.

pillage bag
skin conceal
crate spar
drama romp

results belongings
rasp column
calculate shape
eruption reckless

stumble journey
tresses fastens
curtsy prow
cataract drops

Being new to this tread,
sure has been fun.
I'm no early riser,
so, I've got to run.

Ha, all those tiny hints, makes sense in hindsight. Nice little puzzle really, well defined step where you know when you've done the right thing, though I got stuck looking for how to interpret the last bit and didn't think to use tinyurl (couldn't get past "eight owl" -> "a towel").

That's gotta be the final part to it I'd say. The title of the talk is "Is 4 a.m. the new midnight?", which sounds awfully familiar to me... Will have to give it a watch.
