*snickers*

Looks to me like this chat might be a little empty. I know that isn't funny to some people who are really bothered by this situation, but in my teeny little brain I find it amusing. I really do hope that the people who have been turned off by this are able to go to the chat and get some relief.

Me too, I really hope the chat eliminates concerns, but I'm not sure it will. If I signed up for a sandbox, that's fine, but I would have like to have known up front. I thought there was a game to be had here...

I have to be honest and say that I'm sad that ya'll are so unhappy about this. I really do hope that some sort of a peace can be found so that we can get our boarding passes and get on the island.

For those of you still playing along, it seems as though our village idiot is now deceased:

Will try to catch the chat even if it means dragging my laptop to TGIF fun (read=Mojitos) Twisted Evil
Gotta admit on first take I'm sorta down hearted about this twist.

Don't worry, we're planning on storming the castle and taking over the island.

Brute force baby!

Perhaps we can find fun in this, if we just continue to develop our nice and small society Smile
We can even feel it with history and mythology. In this case the fun were to know, that nobody really knows, what's going on, but in our collective imagination there arises an unique world.

In this case, it weren't ARG at all, it weren't RPG, it were just a social and creative experiment. Perhaps even some gamejack could bring freshness and randomness to this experience (just don't asperse me beeing the gamejacker after this sentence Smile)

Well, as for my opinion... I think it was pretty obvious early into things that this was gonna be a little "different". And instead of jumping ship, I think I'm gonna stick around. I think this situation actually adds to the "fun". I think it's gonna turn out great if WE make it great, we've all put in alot of time and effort to just bail out. Plus it really does have potential to come together and BE SOMETHING. Besides, isn't the whole idea all about being involved anyway?
Sure it's not typical... but now we know. Why does it matter if the "characters" are known or unknown, they are still characters, just as the players are also "characters"... besides nothing is stopping the "players" from making little "sub-curtains" of their own to kinda mess with the "others"... it actually makes for a pretty realistic setting. I mean, in real life you rarely know the motivations of other people, what they may be hiding, or plotting... or who you can/can't trust.
Ok... I'm done with my thoughts on this... Now, on with the "game".

Right there with you man, that's why we're arming ourselves and preparing for battle! If we're going to do this, let's do it!

I'll pull down that drawbridge single-handedly and go down in history as the liberator of West Unfictionopia. Epics will be wrote of my heroics, ballads will be sung of my might and determination...

I am legend.

How can you be downhearted when there are Mojitos in the near future?

So, what if we assassinate the Imperial Emperor of Things Left Unclear?

Does he die, because I said he did, and I shot him?

But I haven't pulled down the draw bridge yet! Hang on...

*Pulls down Imperial draw bridge, with legendary effort and good looks none-the-less*
