Interesting -- I stopped looking after I found the third member. Cool that we have four of them identified.

Wait? Where do u get fourth? I don't believe that Alan Ripley is the third name. I thought they were (I'll put it in initials):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
N.H., T.V., & H.G.

Crap! I hope I'm not wrong... I already sent my email... Shocked

This shows the connection between the three:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://isomergrenade.livejournal.com/1053.html He names the other two. Also he has the Wolfpack PMC logo on his site. Your answer is fine.

In the contest rules section 4(c) (http://www.wolfpackpmc.com/contest/Official_Rules.html) it says to include name, daytime telephone number, address, etc with each submission but it did not ask for that in the mission email. If you haven't submitted yet you may wish to include that information.

If there are four people who are members, that means there are multiple correct answers for this round. The following quote clarifies things:

Quote:
But if you think the novels of Alan Ripley or thinly veiled religious screeds of Thurston Veigh are literature...your taste is shit.

Besides the two authors I've mentioned (only because they have publically disclosed their involvement), there was a nuclear physicist who was both a Holocaust survivor and a participant in the Manhattan project and other "dangerous minds".

Thus, the two authors (Ripley & Veigh) disclosed their involvement, and the physicist (Heinrich) was similarly confirmed. Plus the author (Houston) makes four. Therefore, there are four correct answers to this round, since you can get three by excluding any single member.

Well I believe we have a bit of polite dissidence here... The mission 1 questions only ask for 3 names, not 4 & they all related to the code word: Krammada Elbas 5:30... Which only 3 names have in their blog (Houston, Veigh, & Greisman) which would exclude Alan Ripley (I couldn't even find anything else on him) as a name they want. At least that's what I got out of it... Smile
Also, did anyone find it strange that Thurston Veigh is the Spiritual Advisor (found under Directors link on WolfPack PMC site) for WolfPack? Hmmm....

Ah, reread the instructions and it clarifies that they continued to talk after the think tank -- I'll concede that no evidence persists that the fourth member of the think tank has continued to talk.

I wonder why...

Well like I said notgordian, polite dissidence. Wink If I may...
I agree that Alan Ripley has openly confirmed his involvement with JASON (per Houston' blog). However, there is no evidence that Ripley continues to speak with anyone from the think tank. I've come to this conclusion because he is the only one of the group who doesn't have a blog (or any other connection to the other three, other than being in JASON) that states Krammada Elbas 5:30.

So, rereading the mission instructions from Wolfpack:

Quote:
Our client has presented The Wolfpack with extremely limited intelligence on these individuals. We don't know who they are. We only know they are using brief code words to communicate, along with a number we believe refers to the time of day for a meeting. We only possess a fragment of the code word. CODE WORD FRAGMENT:Krammada.

It is essential that you identify three of these individuals by sending The Wolfpack their NAMES, THE FULL CODE WORD, and the MEETING TIME in an E-MAIL TO THIS ADDRESS...

I took "identify three of these individuals" to mean the three who:
A. had involvement in the think tank JASON
plus...
B. were still communicating by a code and number
- which would exclude Alan Ripley as one of the 3 possible names for the correct answer. Anyway, I believe there were more than just 4 participants to the think tank. We just only know of the 4 who have "publicly" acknowledged their involvement...

i received new mail containing assignment for mission two:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ATTENTION: TIP TRAINEES

FROM: DEPUTY DIRECTOR, OSIG OPERATIONS
CC: OSIG OPERATIVES, SUPERVISORS

Congratulations. Whether or not you were able to personally identify the individuals we requested, the first mission was an overwhelming success. The nature of the Wolfpack in general and OSIG (Open Source Intelligence Gatheing) program in particular is not to rely on one, skilled lone wolf. The Strength of The Wolf of The Pack

Decentralization is also essential for the Wolfpack's continued surival. Should you continue to progress through the Talent Identification Program, you will be the Wolfpack's future. In order to stop terrorists we must act like them. The Pack pools data from a variety of independent agents who, by working much like terror cells, cannot compromise each other, our clients or this organization.

As such, you were able to help us uncover the three most dangerous members of the Think Tank: Heinrich Greisman, aka "ISOMERGRENADE"; Thurston Veigh, aka "ENDTIMER" and Nathaniel Houston, aka PEAK OIL.

ISOMERGRENADE is under surveillance, although our fissile material division believe his hypothetical weapon to be impossible to build. ENDTIMER is a member of our board of directors. We will have to re-evaluate our relationship with him.

PEAK OIL has been determined to present the most risk to our client. Your next mission is to gather intelligence on Nathaniel Houston. It is imperative that you do not contact him or otherwise make our investigation known to him.

We are seeking the following information:

- A list of foreign countries he has worked or studied in.

- A list of his reading materials.

- Finally, we believe that he and the other Think Tank Members are meeting in such a way as to avoid detection. Some sort of online communication service is likely. We would like the name of this service and the handles of the Think Tank Members so we can follow them more closely.

It is essential that you find the above information and send The Wolfpack an E-MAIL TO THIS ADDRESS. You may only send one e-mail to The Wolfpack during this mission. Make it count.

In order to advance in T.I.P. and stay in contention for a future position within the Wolfpack, you must complete this mission by no later than 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Sunday March 22nd, 2009. That is the date we will be ready to implement the next phase of this security operation. Shortly after, the third mission will follow.

As before, with this and any mission, we DEMAND that you act within the boundaries of all civil and criminal law: local, state, Federal, and International. Secrecy is of the utmost importance. DO NOT attempt to contact any of the individuals under investigation under any circumstances.

However, we not only condone but encourage cooperation. After all:

THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS THE PACK!

When they ask for list of reading materials, do you think we can just list the things on his amazon wishlist?

Still not too difficult, but I'm willing to bet that we are being lulled into a sense of complacency. Once we're all asleep solving these types of missions.. *WHAM* wake up call .. Shocked

There's only one more mission and you only have to complete two to qualify for the prize, so they could send us a nigh-impossible task and most of us would still be in the drawing.

Plus this forum seems to be a gathering place for people who enjoy solving impossible tasks.
