Sorry for angering everyone, I had no idea there was a Chuck Twitter thread until a few days ago and I haven't posted here since. In my defense, there are like a billion TIMM threads and no real easy way to track them all.

Other than them being in their own subforum, you mean?

Silly me, thanks thread police.

I didn't realize a sub-forum had been created, but hey, have at me.

EDIT: Sorry for being snarky but sarcasm following an apology kinda frustrates me.

Just noticed something... the music at the end of this silly video is the same as the music in the trailhead (starting at 1:28 ). According to the credits other video, the music was made by this guy.

I'll shoot Eric a note, I'm friendly with him.

The music that's used is stock Garageband music. I spoke to Eric, he wanted to clear that up.

It's not too late to join in on this is it? Just found it today, and looks pretty interesting.

It is too late, since the game is dead. Sad

 Dead? No!

Newbie here also, and my first foray into ARGs, but I've been lurking and reading the trailhead from teh beginning. The game does not appear to be dead, I think you should keep at it. Check out the ChuckDideEate Twitter feed.

And PMs don't let us late comers down!!!!

The MTC put a comment on the Youtube page for their video, in response to someone asking if this was dead:

Quote:
The Milwaukee Tourism Commission is a legal entity as established under the Milwaukee + Active America Business Charter of ACT 3 (revised ACT 6) and as such cannot "die" in a biological sense. Thanks for asking!

Now what do you make of that??? Confused

I guess there's no point arguing against consensus. If TiMM is dead in the eyes of the community, then it's dead. Still, I don't get why it had to end this way. I see three major possibilities here:

Scenario 1: The PMs consider the game finished.

Fair enough, it's their game and they can end it if they feel they must. Still, why not take a half an hour and write a paragraph or two that closes the story? To build things up for half a year and then walk away without even so much as a "thanks for playing!" seems unnecessarily cruel.

Scenario 2: The PMs would like to continue the game but can't due to some unforseen problem.

This, I think, is the most likely possibility. Maybe the funding ran out. Maybe the sponsor went belly-up. Maybe a key actor won't cooperate. Stuff happens. We understand. But if things are "on hiatus" as they say, why not just let us know? It could be explained in-game by having Chuck go on some kind of quest in the badlands to retrieve some mythic weapon or something and will be back in a few months. Optionally, they could throw us some kind of sidestory to fill in the lull.

Scenario 3: The game is stalled because the players have missed something or made some wrong decision.

Perhaps the least likely, but it can't be completely ruled out. If the community needs a shove in the right direction, then the PMs have to shove now, as nearly everybody seems to have given up.

If TIMM can be saved, I advocate doing whatever is necessary to save it. If not, at least let us know.

Sounds like they're saying it's dead.

That's the maddening thing about all this: everything we get could be taken both ways. Sure, they say it isn't dead, but they never say that things are still happening.. it's really more of a non-answer.

I don't get it. :/

nothing to get. word games. TIMM cannot "die" in a biological sense as it never existed as such. further, i am beginning to wonder if any of the in-game characters were ever "biological" entities at all! plant-people have no hearts. hence no love. no closure.

sounds like the janitor at Synydyne found a terminal open and decided to post the Youtube...
