Just finished reading the thread, and this looks rather interesting. I will be lurking and rereading until I can think of something to contribute

the woman = (writer) was a fiction writer now considers herself nonfiction she was previously on major anti-psychotic meds saying her characters come to life (which is why she's now in the nonfiction category)

the man = (therapist) curious about woman's characters coming to life & particularly interested in charlotte

could there be some hidden code we're missing or message in or on the wrappings & post its?

i vote we ask if "the writer" has a blog or website -

Well P says that we should consider the items we are already holding, I know the tapes, tape player, the wrapping (?) the recorder came in & P Martin's address (?) The play me post-its...

Why send the 1st tape in newspaper, and the other 2 in tax papers? What was the 3rd tape wrapped in?

I think that maybe we should ask them if we are to help the woman finish the Charlet story??

Just a side note, the background noise in that tape was a thunderstorm...

The woman said she now writes autobiography with emphasis on auto, and it's not what most people would consider fiction, which to me was ambiguous.

I don't understand why I got this same email. From my understanding of spamgourmet, that "1" means the address will only work for a single message forward before it self-destructs. It kind of pisses me off to get an invitation to participate via an avenue that will most likely be closed by the time I reply. My first instinct was to post it as an update to Despoiler but now I sort of feel like "what's the point?"

I also got the email While I like the website question, it is quite possible we will get an "yes" or "no" and that's it. Is there something more substantial we want to ask?

Yeah, the name of the writer or maybe what P. Martin's full name is? Or what about "How can we contact the author or therapist?"

I'm listening to the tapes again. In the Julia one that varin got, it sounds to me like it begins with a gunshot. Any ideas on what that first loud bang is? Where it sounded like, "How about you fix me up with a room" I think she says gun instead of room but I could be wrong. Thoughts?

By the way, I recommend that if you're planning on reading the book, you do NOT read the second "official" review on Amazon because it's very, very spoilery. I wrote in to complain, but sheesh.
